this isnt just 20k 1.4 this is effectively a ****ing BEAST! i believe launch date is 17th?? cars due in next week for prepin etc! we have had to dedicate one ramp for only abarth! its had red resin floor on it and dedicated paint job etc! lol

arnold clarke are a big network so they had to get one! rather than speculating at prices wait relax and let the excitement grab ya!

my guess is scooby owners will feel silly when they get eaten by grande!!!! lol

Its a 1.4 but a beast of a car to be fair.

Surely not. From some of the things people have posted on here it sounds like they struggle enough getting the Fiat side of things right.

Looks like ill have 2 go down the aftermarket route to get more bhp then tbh

I got the SS spec turbo yesterday and we got with the 150 Brovo Turbo already 163bhp and 10% more torque than the SS is qouted with.

right fact 1.9 sporting is £13450 standard! wiht no extras so my guess abarth is more than that. sales manager reckons ss model will come in under 20k thats all he'll commit to, saying "it handles better than anything hes driven before!!" quoting cars he'll say will out do overall as st focus gti golf and vxr! bold statement! lets see now!

One of the lads doing his training in italy also commented on the handling, I quote: "It just grips and grips and grips!"

But the scooby comment is a bit far, after all its only 180bhp and hardly groundbreaking!

180hp in a small car, arent the cars above bigger bhp but heavier? he drives a vxr and says much better than his beloved. abarth have built the perfect balance car?

You can't really compare it to a good spec scoob, its a different league.

Corsa vxr - over 180bhp
Clio 197 -197bhp
Fiesta ST 185 - 185bhp

About on par with the competition I'd say. Cant wait to see it in the flesh. Give me those seats any day of the week

Platts fiat are having their showroom done.

I think its nearly done now, no abarths in it as yet though

Rockingham Cars, Corby have their Abarth showroom nearly finished. The red/white paint scheme needs a bit of touching up, but all the shiny scorpion logos and vintage Abarth photos are on display.The interactive configurator screen is up and running and the swivelling sports seats in bright red around the sales desk are a nice touch. Cars should be arriving very soon.
