Further to my broken body computer: https://www.fiatforum.com/grande-punto-technical/146552-electronic-failure.html

The proxy alignment fault has reappeared today on my GP :bang:

I also had paid for the handbrake to be adjusted when it was in before as it was having to be pulled quite high up. I had to pay for the work - which ended up having the rear brakes stripped and cleaned. Well the handbrake still isn't holing the car right so I'll be having that looked at again and I certainly won't be paying for the labour this time as I feel they never resolved it the last time. (n)

My dealer seems to blow hot and cold. Sometimes they are great while other times its like the car comes out with more faults than it went in with!

Top marks to the dealer on this occasion :)
Everything was written down (rather than the tech receiving a one liners on the computer). Body computer reprogrammed, handbrake adjusted and recall 5119 carried out airbag update.

be gentle on the handbrake from the off! u dont need to yank it up just 2 notches gentley will hold it

I've always been careful with the handbrake - only putting it on enough to hold the car.

Handbook says 5 clicks, more if on a gradient dependant on the severity of the slope.

my hand brake was abit crap so i take out the center concol around ya hand break and ther shud b a nut just play with that

duz your heters play up when u drive mine cuts off when i go over speed bumps???

Speak plain English, this is an International Forum and not evryone understands that language. Do you mean the heater fan stops if you go over a bump?

yes what can that be

Loose connector to the fan, dodgy resistor pack to the speed control, dodgy speed switch, loose fan fuse? I dont suppose you have any other issues lets say lights go off as well at the same time?

The language of the young !! Us old guys will have to use the Queen's English, except us Scots guys

It's not just old people who can't understand it - I'm middle aged and I can't/don't want to put the effort into decoding the crap....and don't think for a moment that you're sooo hip and cool and above it all.
It is in inappropriate place to be using that kind of 'speak'....it's just bad manners and lazy.
This forum should be a place that everyone can easily learn information provided by everybody else's 'posts'.
People spend a great deal of time and effort composing very well thought out questions and answers....sometimes even supplying pictures.
If I were a moderator I'd have a zero tolerance policy and just delete the post.
Any repeat behavior and I'd ban the member.
Simple.

The thing is (and I do agree with you by the way) is that its common nowdays. I often do delete posts but to ban these people would mean a probably mean a drop in around 50% of forum members. My view is simple....I simply dont answer them, if its in one of my sections I give a  remark or simply delete it.
