Hi, got a 1.3 diesel active, does this model have a pollen filter, if so should leaves come through the vents?

I imagine the Active doesn't have a filter - I've had a few small leaves fired at me in my 1.2 Active

You imagine wrong.
All G. Punto's have a pollen filter.
Now whether it has been removed and not replaced is another matter.

where is it hidden superboy??

Front passenger footwell.

Remove the top side piece of horizontal plastic that runs under and alongside the gear lever to where the passengers feet would be. Kind of 'pops' out at 2 places.
Once you've done that you will be looking for a long, thin black plastic flap about 14" long which lies at the back of the heating control panel.
You kinda have to stand on your head to find it the first time.
Press the bottom tab down, pull the flap towards u and then disengage the top part.

Pull the edge of the filter - looks like a rippled hoover bag - all the way out - you might need to press the top part of the filter down as u pull it out.

Once you've got it out you might find a way, with one of the vacuum cleaner attachments to get in there and suck all the bits out - I've got a Miele so there was no problem whatsoever - in fact if you've got that brand u might need to turn the suction down to prevent possible damage.
A mate of mine has added a thin piece of transparent hose pipe onto the end of the nozzle and drilled holes into the pipe - that way he has a small, flexible way of getting into these kind of very restricted areas - works really well.

thanks for that i suffer from hay fever in a bad way but didn't realise the 1.2 Active had a filter will have to find it and keep it clean

i'd check that all the hoses are connected ok...could be a gap in the vent system

Is this the pollen filter panel?? as i have just pulled my car to bits in true FF style and the tight sods haven't put one in or the dealer has taken it out and not refitted it??

yep......in past on aircon models had pollen filters but no harm in fitting them anyway.

Got one ordered will make a guide up on replacement once i get it

Andy, how much was the filter?

an OEM Fiat one from shop4parts was £17.43 + postage came to £21.90 including P&P and the Fiat forum discount of 10% to subscribed members (check members offers for more details)

I assume you can get a pattern replacement from a motor factors by now a bit cheaper
