I am 18 in 6 weeks and i have been looking at getting a GPS 1.9. Fingers crossed on my birthday i shud have 1 years NCB So insurance is working out at 1087 pound FC with Norich Union. I have priced up the GPS I Want in metalic crossover black with the following extras:

Dual Zone Climate Control
Cruise Control
Dark Tinted Rear Windows
Electric Skydome Roof
Rain Sensors
Side rubbing Strips
Leather Interior

All in the OTR Price i am getting in 11386 from broadspeed.

Is this a good deal and how close to this do you think my local dealer (Caledonia) Will be able to get to this price or is it not worth me waisting my time going down???

Cheers Josh

Is a brand new one ur main aim? Too much cash lost on any new car deal TBH so I wud say go for a low miler 56 / 57 plate 1.9 for around £6 - £7k prob have all the bugs & gremlins removed already.

or get a pre reg for less than 11386 with delivery miles.

I got a pre reg with 50miles on clock for £9995 :) You can get it lower!

Although that price aint bad... drivethedeal.com states £11880.21 with your options.

Considering you've everything bar the kitchen sink added to the car it seems like a good price. I'd advise you look for a used one and let someone else lose the depreciation if the extras aren't really important to you.

Can't see insurance being that cheap. Over 3 years NCB. Been with Norwich Union Direct for almost 2 years and my 1.4 16v is £700.

Buy the 1.9 and if its to much to insure, I'll swap you ;)

Personally I'd consider dropping the last 4 extras, but if money's not an issue then why not. It's only £9885 standard so you've added on a good £1500 of extras there...

I spec'd mine up with tints, climate and parking sensors which came to £10400, told my local dealer and he's matching it, so I guess it depends how desperate they are to meet their monthly targets?

The GPS is only insurance group 6 though, so it probably shouldn't be as high as you initially think...

If its under £1500 i would say its about right. Yeah insurance is a joke, I got quoted £10,400 for a VTR that was only worth £3,000.
