I've had my 1.9 sporting remapped and decided to put it on the rolling road yesterday. it made 154.6bhp at the fly and 128.6 at the wheels and 232 ft lb of torque at the wheels (not sure of torque at the fly)

im not going to name the company that remapped it to avoid arguments but these figures seem a little low. it is just me or are they a low? (the car had a full service two weeks at fiat)

These figures do sound a little low. I've been there when people have had their 1.9's remapped and rolling roaded infront of us all. Before they were varying from 125bhp to 135bhp and after they were putting out between or over 170bhp-180bhp...and that's at the wheels. Also, the torque increases were huuuuuge!!!

You should come down to a rolling road day at Red Dot tuning in watford. There's one on the 31st May and it'd be well worth it

wicked cheers, im working on the 31 unfortunately but im going to get the car up to red dot in the near future to sort the map out and see about the induction kit as well

Hi Squirrel sorry to here about the poor, ish dyno, would it not be better for all of us here if you did name the company who did the re-map it would save someone else making same mistake, you do not have to slate them just post name it's up to us to make our own conclusions.

I dare say ive got an idea as to which company it is,.

Rich

FFS hope it's not Angel...

Getting mine rolling roaded next weekend at Shrewsbury, I'll post up the graphs for all to see...mine as everyone knows was remapped by Angel and I was told the mapping had averaged around 168bhp on other Mjets....

Time will tell, how true this is....

I was taken in, but in honesty ive been more than happy with my car regardless of what the bhp is. Safe to say they wont be getting anywhere near my new S3 though, lol.

Rich

It's also possible the rolling road is out a bit aswell. I have seen cossies lose or gain over 50bhp depending on what rolling road they use. :)

Taking the rr results out of the equation does the car feel significantly better to drive and do the gains in the real world feel worth it?

Well if you PM Oldschool he's the guy that runs GSR (Peter) and he'll sort you out with the induction kit and get you some discounts with Red Dot.

Sorry again to hear about the remap. But now you've had the rolling road result surely you can ring up the tuning company and demand your money back?

They haven't got a rolling road, this is why they come up with these figures.

:)

Surely they must develop their maps using a rolling road?

How can they quote me saying the map on my car on their test vehicle came out at 168bhp and mine should be +/- 3% of this?

Can't wait to get mine checked out...if it aint 160bhp+ I'll be pissed. :bang:
