Technical Front dashboard cover along windscreen loose

I'm also on my 4th one and as soon as i use the heater i will need #5, i can see it starting to lift when it gets warm. Last time i was at the Dealer (for something else) i was looking round the cars for sale and 3 of the GP's they had (2 were new) needed the vent trims replacing. Its about time Fiat did something to rectify this problem once and for all. I'm into my 3rd year warranty now and even though it will be done under warranty next time i don't want to keep buying these trims every six months for the duration of ownership of this car. TIP, don't use your heater and the vent trim will last longer.

A continuous problem.....saw a new series 2 GP with the warped dash trim and broken glovebox :bang:

I can't understand why Fiat hasn't fixed these design faults for series 2

These should have been a priority, but smoked headlights and new fabrics/colours were far more important

Well I did eventually get my trim replaced which they claimed was a 'goodwill gesture'. Not that I would argue with that but the new one is now sticking up exactly like the last one.

Now I just give up. Surely if I stuck it down with a wee bit of glue and allowed it to dry there would be no fumes?

Also I've noticed since they replaced it, when I need to clear the de-steam the windscreen, there are patches that it won't clear and I get roasted alive in the car as a lot of the air seems to be blowing towards the interior instead of the windscreen?

mate a friend of mine had the exact problem. this thin plastic was out of space from heat and cold. the dealer changed the entire dashboard.the new one also did it and they changed it agian.so far he has changed 3 dashboards.:bang: for a week know it hasn't ripped off. he hopes that the last dashboard might be the one.

Mine's has a slight touch of this nothing major. One of the guys at my local dealer advised that it could be done if the dash is taken apart BUT putting the dash back togther could lead to lots of rattles. So don't want that as mine is rattle free:)
