Hello

Just had a repsonse from Celtic tuning. I asked if they had re-mapped a GP t-JET and they said they had. 159bhp and 190ft of torque they said was the result from an actual re-map.

Has anyone had experience of these guys? Considering GSR say they can only get an extra 5bhp, 159 seems very good indeed.

Anyone?

cheers

only problem is thet dont offer a rolling road to back up their claims. So add two dyno runs to the price as you will want to see if they have actually done anything and then you can decide whether to get your money back or not

I think I wait till someone can offer me a rolling road tune that gives the right result with thr print out to back it up

yeah im going to do the same. Im pretty confident that gsr will come up with something that will please all us t-jet owners

We just fitted the turbo that is going to be on the Abarth. We had a test run and got 163bhp without mapping.

The turbo on the T-Jet is tiny and with about 145 at the limit. The figures qouted are impossible with the standard T-Jet set-up. No map in the world will change this.

Unfortunately we have to do the mapping next week.

Thats seems a little high, the Abarth is only 150, id say T-jet 120 can only be boosted to maybe 130 tops.

The standard GPAs turbo isn't big either. If you want a true boost, you'd go for the Garret that the GPA SS uses :D

Of course, we all know standard T-Jet Gp wasnt made for 180 BHP. Power is nothing without the control.

Does the above nean GSR can get 145bhp from a standard T-jet, if so I would be interested and thi swould make it a sub 8 second to 60 car.

GSR response?

Adding 5bhp wont take off .9 of a second i wouldnt of thought. Might bring it down to 8.3/4 to 60.

Any idea what fiats response would be come service time when they see a big abarth turbo in there instead of the little t-jet one? I dont think it is worth the hassle for that extra 20-30 bhp that it has over the small remap on the t-jet turbo. I think i will settle for 145 bhp ish and 180 lb ft torque. Thats enough to be getting on with at my age :slayer:

For the record...

145-120 = 25BHP

Which would make it defo sub 8 seconds 0-60.

None of the roliing roaded T_Jets had a peak power output of 120. So far they were all just under 140bhp. This is where the 5bhp come in. By replacing the turbo, which is from the outside dimensions identical we gained another 18bhp before even mapping it. The mapping will be done this weekend.

So would fiat know it was a different turbo?
