Well basically as the title says, im wondering which to go for.Im not too bothered about improving the ride and handling but more the exterior appearance, as i think it looks that little bit better sitting 40mm or so lower, however i dont want it sat on its arse as that can make it look worse. Are coilovers worth the £285 more than eibach sport line springs which are £115 from potn.co.uk. Also, does anyone know if i was to just go to a small garage and ask them to fit either would they do so, and at what sort of price?

cheers

If you want the look then coilovers are definately worth it. If you don't want it too low just adjust them to whatever height you wish. it will handle alot better than on springs aswell.

A small garage could pysically fit them, but whether they will set them up for you is a different story...

I think if i ever lowered a car again id defo go for coilovers, they might be more expensive but they're so much more versatile, plus i like stupidly low impractical to use cars:p

Did you have problems with the last car you lowered or something? What springs was it on if so?

My fiesta was 60mm shocks and springs. No problems apart from a sore arse, felt every single bump and hole.
