Hi all,

Just finished fitting my Linea Race Kit front grille to my GP, and very pleased with the result! Added the new badges at the same time too.

Took about 2 hours and was quite frustrating at times (instructions could be better), and like RichC said when he fitted his, getting the old grille off was a right pain (fingers now very sore). I also needed to file down to badge support bit of plastic to make to bolt fit.

Other than that it went fine for my first ever mod! Cheers Rich for the tipex tip for marking the drill-holes, worked a treat.

Anyway, pic is attached...

Looks nice! So those red badges only come on the sporting?

Thanks Jarvo. It wasn't the easiest fit, the problem is that the instructions are quite vague. For example when you put the bottom replacement grille in, it is difficult to know exactly how it should hold on, and all that is shown in the instructions is a couple of arrow indicating "put the grille here"! That said, this was my first mod and I managed it with no real problems, its pretty obviously where everything goes.

The only headache is getting the old grille off. I found that bending the pins that hold the top grille on (put fingers through top grille, over the the far right and push pins once you find them) allowed me to pull it out on one side with a very hard tug. Then just pulled the other side off.

The bottom grille was more difficult, and a second pair of hands was needed to unclip the clips that hold the top edge of the grille to the bumper, pulling each one out one-by-one. Then pulled top edge down and repeated this with bottom edge.

Rich gave a short rundown of how he fitted it in this thread..

..and I followed that (didnt drill new holes in bumper, used tipex to mark area to drill etc).

Hope that helps!

lol i think its around about £170

Yep, I paid £170 from Chris at Souls MK. Have to say the wide angle of the camera does make it look more 'in-your-face' than it is, suits the car much more in the metal.

Yep the small badge is the MS Design one which comes with the grille, that might not stay on there though, not sure about it.

My next job is to do the badges on the wheels, trying to find a way to get the old ones off without taking the wheels off..

I was going to say in my last post that i'd remove the red MS Design badge from the grill. Do a search of the GD section about replacing all the badges, should come up with a thread about replacing the wheel ones, think they are abit tricky and a few have broke the old ones when removing them.
