Hi All,

The wife & I are about to trade in a well loved multipla 1.6 elx for a new GP 1.2 Active 5dr. Hopefully we will do the deal next wednesday.

Budget is biggest issue so we are being as mean as possible with the spec.

The base colour offered is Rock'n' Roll blue. But the dealer did not have any in stock in this colour to look at.

Does anyone on here have this colour and if so any views? Is it ok or worth spending a little more for the New orleans blue. Any pictures?

It's a really well styled body & I'd hate to ruin it by picking a duff skin.

Don

If budget is really an issue than colour would be irrelevant wouldn't it? Just take one of the basic colours ;)

Unless you are planning to keep the car forever avoid Rock 'n' Roll Blue at all costs!

Non-metallic dark blue is universally known as Doom Blue in the Motor Trade as it is the single worst colour for resale value. The reason your dealership don't have one to show you is because they don't want one in stock.

Spend the extra on New Orleans Blue, it will easily pay for itself come resale time.

You can always go for white...
It's non-metallic so it should not be more expensive and it looks great!

If your buying a new GP then its going to be over £7k....

I just got my GPS with a ton of upgrades (listed below) as well as the 6 speed gear box, one and a half years old, 18k miles on the clock for £6.5k.

I know buying a second hand car means you don't get the choose the colour but 9 times out of 10 it wont be a basic colour and also you wont lose so much value on it the minute you drive it off the forecourt!

The dealer I got mine from had a 1.4 GP eleganza for £5995....

Well..... I love my Rock n Roll Blue it changes colour depending on the light if it is really sunny it is almost black I love it :)

Hi I bought a fiat 500 twin air in rock'n roll blue best thing I ever did, I borrowed my daughters fiat which is cream washed it and within 30 mins black water marks run down the body work hence I bought the colour I did. keeps looking cleaner for longer than the light colours, fab little car brill on fuel and goes like stink nothing slugesh about the twin air. Hope this helps you.
