had my grande 2 days and a stupid bird flew into my car this evening, right on the grill, its cracked the part of the bumper slightly that the grill fixes to and forced the grill forwards, havent got any pics but from the description would you guess it be repairable or a new bumper already im soooo annoyed

this bird actually flew at me!

I know how you feel i got a pheasant less than one hour after picking my GP up then bit the head off the GF at the time who wanted me to stop so she could look at the damage fortunately id did no damage to the car bar a small scratch that rubbed out

and the only damage was to the bird (the gf soon walked away when faced with blood and guts)

im guessing a new bumper is going to be costly?

New front bumper is £170 ex vat i think, that doesnt include fitting either

ouch, thats painful, are bumpers repairable?! its a small crack on once side around the grill? (that has the fiat badge on it)

Dunno really, try goin to a body repair specialist they might be able to stich it with filler

it wont be cheap btw. i had a dent in the sill of my gp, took 3 days and £182 to repair, but was still cheaper than buying a new one. £350 for the side panel £150 for respray and fitting.

If its just a small crack then a bodyshop like chips away would be able to plastic weld it then smooth it over with filler.

i had a quote to plastic weld from local co near me after some one tow bard my front bumper 160.00 to weld and touch over bumper not hard to get off just lots screws and 3 diffrent sizes

grrrr not what i needed well, im gonna relocate the grill as its kinda overlapped over the cracked it of plastic and see if its livable for a bit, otherwise its bodyshop time, 2 days i cant believe it

Why not wait a little while, a few people on here are thinking of changing their bumpers to aftermarket ones, buy the original off them maybe?

Or just get fiat to quote to replace it, it may be cheaper than you think.

works out at 188.00 for new bumper/painted

well managed to get the clip back in, so doesnt look too bad now, however does this look fixable? no plastic has come away just cracked

I don't know if that could be plastic welded, best to go see a bodyshop for some advice.

do you think the crack (picture in previous post) could be hidden with something, so kinda of small mod iv seen chrome grill surrounds on other ppls puntos on here, kinda look ok

any ideas are welcome, just hate seeing this crack everytime i look at my car
