Nope neither has LSD. My 156 GTA torque steers far less than the old Stilo Abarth did, that was all over the shop, infact I haven't noticed a problem at all. The standard diff is a weaklink in the GTA and do fail, it's probably one of the biggest failures and if you're unlucky it'll take the gearbox with it, they have a list price of £2,800 so £500 on a upgraded diff which provides the LSD benefits too seems a very sensible purchase.

Hi , I should've replied a while ago as I got a reply from a couple of other "profesionals".

A very well known Fiat/Alfa dealer/tuner in the North west said I should'nt do i
tbecause of electronic difficulties with traction control and other handling problems. I am a bit suspicious of this because the new Alfa MiTo will be out soon and they want to sell them to people like me. Thus hinting that I should'nt waste my money.

A very good motor engineer that I know was asked about this and he is positive it can be done as it is just fitted inside the current gearbox in place of the current diff.

Fiat themselves have not bothered to reply to my querry.

So it appears that it will be a case of "suck it and see".

At the moment I am spending all of my cash on diesel so I will put this project on the back burner for a while.

Any body else wanting to fit a LSD in a GPS please tell us how it goes.

Cheers Stu.

Did anyone actually bite the bullet?

Btw Hellcat -> Quaife do an LSD for the Bravo M-Jets so if the quaife one is too much then you can just compare specs to the alfa one?

I'm trying to see if the M-Jet one will fir the t-jet!

They've also adapted teh LSD for the Astra VXR which shares its M32 gearbox allbeit with a different 6th gear with the Mjet GPS 1.9.

On that basis im not sure IF the Alfa's use the M32 and so whether the Q2 would fit but dont quote me.
