yesterday....it happened again while negotating the corner at the carpark that going uphil suddenly the "blink-blink" sound appear,

no gear ...try to engaged the gear, nothing happen, people at the car behind getting annoyed, set the emergency signal on and guide the other car to pass thru.

then l let the car roll back to get parking to the nearest to the road side.

turn-off the engine and on again a few times, wiggle the connector on top the accelerator paddle....nothing happen ....still cannot engage the gear...

fed-up call the service centre....ask them to tow the car to service centre...

while sitting there i played with the gear, (with the engine off- but switch on) can hear the sound duologic trying to engage the gear..

as its getting warmer inside the cabin, i start the engine...and call the service centre to ask them why it takes time to reach where i am.........suddenly i notice the display shows "1" instead of "N". tried the "R" and it works. cancel the tow truck and drive home

so far nothing happen. dun really understand what happen. this is te longest failure session while on the road. previously the gear just disenggage it self, and i quickly push to "2" and it still works.

any clue.

So what happened?

dont know what happen to the duologic, have'nt got time to send to the service centre, if no faulty, they would not able to detect what when wrong, that what they told me before....wait until it fail...

Not sure if this helps, but apparently there's an update that would smooth out the juddering. Might be related?

yeah....thats my ex-panda, sold that one with the problem cured but new problem now with GP

can't remember how, but mine is not so much so a problem on jerking. if i am not mistaken someone mentioned to retrain the doulogic on manual (gentle) for 15 to 20 minute drive before you switch back to auto. ..... i think so.... can't remember

happend again last week.....call the tow-truck to tow the car on the next morning. the best part i can reverse the car to get the tow truck in between as another car was blocking the way. anyway i've decided that was enough and time to go for "check-up".

yesterday, the service centre called and mentioned they unable to detect what wrong with duologic. i'give the few tips from T , to check on the connections...etc..

today they decided to repalce the duologic....hopefully it works....i am really worried i just a loose conncetion which can happen anytime again..

anyway just wonder why the examinar cannot detect what wrong with the duologic as it also failed when the car with them.? just wonder

How many times have you had your car towed?

And let us know what the outcome is..

my car is on its wheel again, the service centre replace the whole duologic module $3.3k excluding labour and 2weeks in workshop.... anyway its free for me as its still under warranty.

hopefully it works.....

hopefully it works.....

Keep us updated :)

Hi is there a new software update for the judder problem?

Yeh apparently.. What sort of problems are you having?

Regarding the Dualogic judder, does it cut out, or just judder?
there is an update out which rectifies the juddering, it makes it extremely smooth, i've had it dont all both my demos and numerous customers cars.
the steering problem, i've not had anything from over this side.

When I am in traffic the car vibrates like hell when moving forward on the 1st gear but disappears in a second, I was under the impression that since the car is pretty heavy for a 1.4Ltr engine that I may not be giving enough juice and even tried accelerating harder but the problem still seems to be around (Only at times)

When I took the car to the dealer, they did some adjustment using the Examiner but the problem didn't seem to go away, when I told the dealer that there was no improvement, they said they may need to open up the gear box in order to see whats wrong but I am really worried about them opening up the gear box which could lead to more problems, if there is a software update that could cure this problem, then I could tell them to Talk to Fiat Italy and get this update

I spoke to Fiat and told them that there seems to be a new software update for the gear box judder, but I was advised that they have already installed the 5.7 version or something which is the latest software for the engine and gear box

Actually this was downloaded onto my car a few months back. I guess I will have to put into the shop and see if they can find the problem (God have mercy)

They did assure me however that should the problem persist, they will replace the gear box since it's still under warranty

Its shame that this happened as other than for this issue and the rear door handles being faulty, I really can't complain about the car

I was told something similar a few days ago too - i.e. already have all the latest updates.
