In addition to the judder
I also notice it takes a bit of time for the gear to change from 2nd to 3rd and sometimes I have to hold the acceleration at 2500rpm for maybe 1 minute or so for the gear to change to 3rd, this mainly happens when the E mode is switched off.
Is this normal?
The E mode is good when you drive on a highway but the moment you end up at a hill, the gear does not down shift which results in me having to knock the gears down manually in order to get more power when going up hill
magnetic clutch
the first thing to do is contact Fiat UK directly and explain the issue.
Yes I am ins Sri Lanka
I have just written to Fiat Italy advising them that the Dealer here completely ignored the terms of the Warranty, The Service Manager told me they cannot see any signs of wear an tear and concluded that the part may have a manufacturing defect as sometimes if the tension on the springs are weak this kind of judder does crop up or it also happens if the clutch or pressure plate is warped.
The Dealer tried to modify the clutch and fix it back so they could experiment on a trail and error but I said nothing doing
Since the entire clutch kit which consisted of the clutch, pressure plate and release bearing were all replaced, we will never know what exactly caused the judder
So far he is running fine and I hope it stays that way
Hi john
You are right, the user has no control over a sealed part unlike the manual gear box where they could have blamed me for actually keeping my foot on the clutch pedal. I have written to the Fiat headquarters in Italy informing them of this matter
Lets see what they say
I have written to Fiat Headquarters before as I had endless problems with my previous Uno and they did respond, I have written to the CEO himself lets see what will happen
