What does anyone think of the below. Thinking of putting these on the GP:)

Personally, i'd have neither. Looks abit tacky in my opinion.

I wouldnt have the Fiat logo - simply because it isn't legal and your just giving the police a reason to stop you and look around the car more intensly for other offences. Plus, there are already 6 Fiat logos on the exterior of the car.

And I wouldn't have the small writing at the bottom. Imagine the scenario, your driving along when the driver behind wonders what the writing says, so moves closer to inspect - you then suddenly break for whatever reason and you'd be having to exchange insurance details.

I just went for a standard number plate, no borders, no EU Logo, no dealers writing etc. Just the registration letters, and personally I think it looks better.

Why advertise that its a grande punto? People know what it is. Also, no offence, but i wouldn't like to advertise that i only had 65bhp :p. I'd just have 1.2 8V DYNAMIC.

People won't nick it if they know it's a 1.2L

Dunno what to go for after comments now. Definitely gonna lose the border though. Might drop the small writing and just go for the lettering and the black GB/Fiat logo

I doubt it, being a 1.2 does not mean its never going to get stolen.
If you want to display the engine size etc why not have a rear window strip/logo with it in rather than risking being pulled over for an illegal number pate.

Niether of them does it for me. Ive got mine simple with just the euro flag, and my persnalised reg. I dont like plates with to much on it, reminds me of what old blokes put on their old sierras along with chrome strips around the windows, and does earthing strips at the back of the car..

hahaha leave it overnight in your local TWOC hotspot with the keys in and see what happens, joy riders are not fussy..........why dont you just do what everyone else does, get a normal plate and obey the traffic laws.

:yeahthat:

Totally agree sledge. If you have the Fiat logo on the number plate, no doubt you will only complain if/when the police do pull you over for it.

A number plate is either legal or its not, there is no inbetween. Its your choice what you do but if you get nicked with a dodgy plate dont come back in here criticising the Police and ranting and raving about it......I for one dont think my ribs would take it :D

Why would I complain lol. I know I'm taking a chance if I get caught it's my fault for breaking the law not theirs for enforcing it. Just plead ignorance and hope for the best:yum:
