Exactly my point, if as much time and money was spent on policing the streets and sorting out "Broken Britain" then the british public will be alot more safer. This country is slowly declining, the crime rate is going up, i can say this as i am only 19 myself but it is people around my age or younger that are commiting all the crimes. this is because they know that they can do whatever they like and all they'll get is a slap on the wrist or maybe even an ASBO, to have an ASBO these days is like getting a blue peter badge. Really does boil my pee when i see too police officers sitting in a volvo or vectra on the side of the road waiting for someone too come along that has a bulb out or an incorrect number plate. Sort it out Gordon. :bang:

Back on topic.... :) Tints are now illegal if they are too dark.... number plates have to be ANPR acceptable.... lights under your car :)yuck: i know) but still a choice thats gone.... ur car cant make a noise.... if its modded to look different its more likely to get stopped... rename the Police force to the SS, Gestapo, KGB whatever... and I know its not all coppers blebo, ur just doing what your told, as is my bro - in - law who is a copper in West Mercia, there are good and bad with their own interpretations, look out for the ones with the peaks pulled low over their eyes... and be wary... not too far to go to Russian style government here...

lol sorry i went off topic, but that subject always twangs my strings lol, anyway are metal preassed plates with the GB and euro flag to the side, legal?

:ROFLMAO:

I have never had a problem with a more mature policeman, they have always been fair and I have alot of respect for them.

Whereas the young coppers have an attitude. They are sarcastic and patronising and not in the least helpful. No wonder so many youngsters resent the police.

This is very true too, i was once pulled over by 2 young police officers in a panda car when i had my modified fiesta. They said i was speeding which i wasn't and denied it. I knew my rights and asked to see there daily calibration sheet, they refused. They had no proof so instead of just giving me a warning and letting me get on my way, they checked over the whole car, tyres, number plates, battery, suspension struts, insurance, tax, MOT, driving license the whole shbang. I was fully legal and they didn't like this, so they then gave me a warning and went on there way. (y)

The point to this thread is being completely missed, people keep going on about how number plates that are unreadable and misreprested are going to get you pulled but thats got nothing to do with what was asked. All of the number plates that have been shown are all legal font and are in no way unreadable of misrepresented so its irrelevant. I can understand if the characters were in italics or something stupid but they arent.

Have you taken time to read and understand the laws and regulations relating to plates? Pressed metal plates are not allowed because they dont meet the required standards. Read the last 2 paragraph in this link.

You say I get arsey sometimes....haha, maybe I do, but I am not the one continualy moaning and whinging because the law stops me from having the number plates I want......is it really that important to you? get a life man.

If it bothers you that i am moaning about number plates then obviously you need to get a life aswell. You don't have to read my posts or even reply to them.

Nobody here is whinging and moaning about the law stopping them from having the plates they want because we who want them have got them anyway

Its very rare i will get drawn into petty nonsense and also judge someone without really knowing them but ive got to say Sledge ive never known anyone to be so critical and anti everything in their posts. Maybe its just pot luck and the ones i happen to have seen are the ones where your having a rant but you never seem to have anything positive to say. Do you only participate in threads where you can be argumentative?

Well....it would seem in some 409 posts I have been thanked 6 times.....so at least 6 people have thought I have said something positive in the past. At the risk of letting this escalate I am not going to get drawn in further, like you I too can form my own opinions of people and decide who deserves respect........In future dont look on my comments as critical, look on them as advice based on good old common sense and from years of experience.

As i said it must just be the posts i have read. I dont want to argue with anyone on here because like i mentioned previously i dont really know anyone so it would be wrong. Im sure in years to come i will be in your situation having the same conversation with someone else. As im sure you can appreciate though people will learn from their mistakes as you will inevitably have done.
