I am interested in the Grande Punto 1.3 mj 90 Dynamic 5 door so I am searching for various deals on the web. On more sites than not, this model is not listed. 1.2 and 1.4 petrol no problem 1.3 75 no problem, 1.9 mj plenty but the 1.3 90 seems to be as rare as hens teeth. The company who I was hoping to get one from on a PCP (broker4cars) have stopped quoting for it and it does not even appear on the Fiat website. I am obviously not going to pay top wack for one so I have been looking a various suppliers prices on the web. Can't even find one there. Is this model out of favour or scarce for some reason? I am going to ring broker4cars to find out why they have stopped quoting for this but I would be thankful for any other advice.

Re: Does this car exist?

So they have dropped the best car in the range. Is this true? Why?

Re: Does this car exist?

:( Yes, I had read that this was a problem and it's something I don't want. Oh well, major rethink then.

Re: Does this car exist?

why not get the 75hp version and have it remapped that should put it to about 100hp

Sounds worth considering, a 100bhp diesel would be good in this car. Does this sort out the turbo lag problem? What's the typical cost of a remap? How much is fuel consumption affected, would it still be better than a 1.9 diesel?

Hi I have this model if you search on autotrader some dealers have pre reg 07 models with del mileage for sale I am sure you will get a good deal .good luck

Well they do exist because i drive one but an 06 one in crossover black, they weren't listed for very long which does make five door MJ90 6 speed is a rare car indeed.

But....... they are still available in some other parts of Europe

and you soon adapt to drive around the turbo lag because once on boost it is all worthwhile

Yup, i am pretty certain that my car exsists!

yes it does have stupid turbo lag but like someone has said, you can learn to drive around it. when i am approaching a roundabout, as long as i am revving about 2200rpm the throttle response is actually pretty good. i don't know what the 75bhp version is like but the 6th gear is also dead good for m'way.

Does the 75bhp have 6th gear???

75bhp version only has 5 gears and fuel economy is terrible

oh and mine breaks lots

Does anyone know the going rate for a Standard 07 plate 1.3 Multijet 90 Dynamic (Trade)? Seen a couple but not too sure if the prices are reasonable.

I have just sold mine. The trade-in price is around £5500 to £6000. The forecourt price is around £7500. Mine was a brilliant, 3 door car, 07 plate, with full multifunctional display and the 6 speed gearbox (for this it would have been manufactured before September 2006). Unfortunately it was plagued with problems from 6 weeks on and the main dealers were unable to diagnose the faults - let alone fix them! The main problem was crashing noises from the suspension. You wouldn't want to buy this car.

Fuel mpg is good 60+ Average mpg

:hm:

Do you actually own and drive one of these cars? if so is this just the rate that your fuel evapourates as you push it? that may be what FIAT claim but it is complete and utter ba**ocks in real life

if you drive around the Turbo lag expect average of high 40's at best, round town lucky to get into the 40's steady motorway or A road low 50's (with a following wind)

well, its good to know that another person is getting the same mpg as me!

i really thought there was something wrong when fiat claimed "60+"!!!

however, with the turbo and driving around the lag, it feels like a 1.6 petrol and no 1.6 petrol could do high 40s mpg

Thanks for all the help guys. The 1.3 Mj 90 aint gonna happen any more. Not sure what to do now but a 1.9 is not out of the question. May even look at a Bravo but going to get a couple of test drives before deciding.
