Hi everyone new here, i gotta 2 week old brand new gp in chemical grey 1.2 active, very pleased with it, my question is, can u buy the factory fitted subwoofer seperatly and is it easy to fit?

I got a Halfords Ripspeed under seat subwoofer, cost £40. Doesnt give loads of bass but enhances sound. Should think its similar to the factory fit one. Very easy to fit (took me about 30mins), completely hidden when its fitted under the seat aswell. Its a PSR-135A. Have a look http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_266555_langId_-1_CarSelectorCatalogId__CarSelectorGroupId__varient__categoryId_98185_crumb_31265-31371-98183_parentcategoryrn_98185

Thanks for all your replies, it looks like i'm getting an after market one then, but how can i?, my standard head unit has the blue and me removing that is not an option, and i doubt it has the output's for a sub, i like the look of that underseat sub, looks pretty good, but how would i connect that to my head unit?

Fiat do a full speaker set. I'm sure its only about £120, that includes a subwoofer. Probably charge the same for fitting though lol

Its very simple. power from battery, speaker level inputs from the back of the headunit. If you look in the guides section for the Blaupunkt sub guide its the same apart a remote lead that connects to the ACC on the headunit.

I'm running a Vibe CBR12 Evo off the original head unit, I too didn't want to lose the features of blue and me or steering controls.

It is possible, it just takes a bit of wiring and about a day (Although I replaced all the speakers aswell, front, rear, tweeters)

Pictures are on the second page.

I think you would be able to answer my questions, lol
i have just bought a nice wee 1.2 active in new orleans blue, the money i will save on fuel each month almost pays for the car as i drove a tuned calibra turbo before,
Im wanting to move my ICE across but was unsure about the blue & me system, i have an alpine set up, iva-d300 7" touchscreen dvd slider, would i loose phone and steering controls if i remove the standard HU,
also i have 2 sets of the X type componants, i think they are 17cm (6.5") speakers with tweeters, would these fit in the doors and rear quarters?
the sound of them is not bad, not sure if i need to change the speakers but worried if the Bass from the single 12" i will be powering from the Alpine Monoblock amp will drown them out, i also have a 4 channel amp,,

Sorry, i know im asking alot, maybe the main thing i should ask is,, will the Alternator cope with any Amps or Power caps,

If all these answers are in a previous post of yours just point me in the general direction

cheers

Ok this gonna sound like a n00b question but i got a brand new punto end of last year =/ wasnt given any optionals so didnt get to have a sub fitted.
Just wondered what I would need and where i could get it all from (Y) Would be lush as i have a lot of time on my hands atm.

If anyone could get back to me that would be aces.
Cheers

I followed this fantastic guide for my 2006 GPS and i'm really pleased with the results.
Took me about a hour to fit and a few of my fav tunes to get the settings just right. ;)

It even turns on/off automatically so no flat batteries (y)

Hmm this is interesting. I had a mk2 punto sporting for my first car which came with a built in 100w sub and when I bought my 2006 GPS I didn't even know that a factory sub was an option. Now I know about it... I WANT! From reading the above posts though; I won't have the wiring to support the sub will I? I don't want the balls ache of fitting a normal 12" sub in the boot as they aren't practical and if I can't get the standard one because of wiring then I will just go without.

Any thoughts on this? Or should I just "use the search tool" as that seems like a common reply on this forum.
