In my opinion, and my car did have Bridgestone Potenzas on when I got and and only 1.5k miles on the clock, the budget Sumos I now have on are as good, grip wise, better noise wise, but half the price. They even look good!

Now when they wear out I will do a repost on the mileage.

If anyone wants to spend a fortune on tyres just cos the Manufacturer fitted them (at probably a fraction of the cost) then its up to them.

Me? I MUCH more savvy than that ffs!

Im concerned about my car. It has done 7903 miles (noticed this morning, lol) and the front nearside is 3/4/3 and the offside is 5/6/5. My tracking must have some serious issues. The rears are doing ok at around 7 i believe.

I was all for changing my tyres for aftermarket jobs but then i spoke to the local tyre guy and he said the car is developed with Bridgestone's so he suggested i stick with them.

Of course he will because they cost twice as much!

On my last car a Focus 2.0 I changed the crappy Pirelli P6000 to Continental Premium Contact 2. Gripped alot better, more quiter and longer life. I will probaly do the same with the Bridgestones when their gone, which I might add look a bit 'used' after 4500 miles... Ill have to keep my eye on them.
