General sporting tailpipe trim

Local Fiat delaer.

Missus has it on her active sport. Was no more that £40 fitted.

Looks cool, cause I think all cars housl have an exhaust. I hate hidden ones.

Its welded onto the back silencer box, my tailpipe was slightly cosmetically damaged, dealer changed it after Fiat effed about whether they had to ok replacement or not, Dealer were happy to change straight away but there hands are tied, then after weeks of waiting Fiat decided they could change it without them seeing it!!, comes as a kit, back silencer and joining piece where they have to cut the original system.

What a load of wash, maybe true what you are saying but totally wrong in relation to this topic!!

You can get a tilpipe trim, fits on to the original tale pipe. Makes it exit the rear of the car rather than behind the bumber and is just clamped on.

Trust me I had one, on my last active sport and the missus has one on her current active sport.

i bought one off ebay that was apparently for the grande punto but doesn't fit quite right, you reckon somewhere could alter my exhaust shape to fit the new tip i have bought? thanks

Replying to the topic"Sporting tailpipe trim", what I said was maybe a little off topic, but it was correct for the title of the original post!, Sorry for the off topic reply, but correct info for a Sporting trust me

I was ponderin the same for my Stripe

Now I know the answer. Off to the dealer I go....

thanks for the replies have just been quoted £69.95 from the dealer for this sound about right ? was also wondering about fog lights theyy reckon £500 fitted

£500 quid for foglights? At this rate it would have been better for you to buy an active sport.

70 Quid is an expansive for a tailpipe and fitting, you are maybe better buying a cheaper aftermarket one and have an exhaust place do it for you.

£500 for spot/fog/driving lights? Makes the £600 leather dealer option look a snip!

This just gets more and more confusing it was desira norwich i went into earlier and the quoted me £69.95 just phoned Desira diss and they quoted me £55 is there to trims out there ?????????

Fiat do the sporting trim, and the 'need for speed' trim as they call it. Which is part of the need for speed range. So there are two trims, the sporting one is nicer imo if you give it a google you can see what they both look like.

The difference may even be for a difference in labour charges.
