Evening people, im very likely to be buying a GP 1.4 16v sporting in the summer and i was just wanting to no your opinions on best colour option and if its worth getting the subwoofer pack and skydome option. pictures of your cars would be great

Regarding colour it is really personal preference, i went for orange as it is only available in the sporting, so when someone see's an orange GP they instantly know its a sporting. I also opted for the subwoofer package and for the money it is good value. Its not just a subwoofer, its an audio package, i think all of the speakers are upgraded :slayer:. I have also got the skydome, first thoughts was that there was no point if you have aircon, but its still nice to have a sunroff, plus it looks the dogs. Hope this helps.

Thanks thats a good starter, hopefully get more feedback but i agree with the colour being personal opinion. One thing i found with the GP was the slope of the windscreen made it feel quite low on the inside does the skydome feature make it feel more roomey?

I like chemical grey metallic (my colour ). Hides dirt very well also. The sportings also look good in white, not many white ones so it would stand out.

As for the options, subwoofer is debateable, some like it, some don't (I havent got it). Skydome is good if you want a sunroof. But I think i'd go for the climate control over a skydome.

All options are personel preference tbh, most people only go for the climate control because you get an extra screen where the heatre controls are. lol The skydome does make it feel alot more open, and more roomy

Skydome makes the car feel so light and airy - would not be without it. But it also reduces the available headroom as well. I'm 6ft and I have to have the seat down to its minimum setting to avoid hitting the ceiling...

ah that might be a problem then cz im 6ft 4 so im glad u mentioned that do you have a tight fit then at your height?

I am also 6ft 4 and i put the seat down too and still have at least 2 inch clearance. Its only when i'm in the passenger seat when there is little head clearance but that is due to not being able to put the seat down.

ah gdgd well im not planning on sitting in the passenger seat too often but if u got 2 inch clearence aswel that mean my dad can fit in too if he need to drive cz he a big 6 ft 6 but anyway thanks for the feedback everyone, its all being taken into consideration.

Well I went for white Paint because it looks superb (best colour IMHO lol), also only available on Sports I think, my thoughts when ordering options went like this:

Cruise, nope, car is not powerful enough to sit at 90 with the cruise on up a hill on the motorway in 6th, cruise cuts out when clutch is pressed to change down, so a bit pointless on a manual
Climate, nope, dont like how they sometimes wont let you select a particular way of doing the air like you want, and A/C is standard so who cares
Parking sensors, nope, im not a woman so dont need them
SkyDome, YES YES, never been without a sunroof and it feels so much airier, with the Sports dark interior too, looks good too
Sub Package, yes, sounds very good for OEM fit and I dont want to be messing around with a brand new motor, and it was cheap
Tints, I didnt get them but am having aftermarket darker ones put in for less money

I think thats all of them, the best stuff is standard anyway, but make sure you get the locking fuel cap, mine came with it, my cousins Active didnt, maybe its only the higher models but I didnt even realise until I filled mine up for the 1st time!

Erm, i dont think so, ive seen 1.2 actives in white. But yes, white does look the best, wish i had gotten mine in white.

they did a model called Active white soon after it was launched I remember now!! but in any case ive never seen another round here!
