hey, buying my grande punto this weekend

basically been hunting around for a brand new grande

so far best offer

1.4 dynamic sport 8V exotica red, rear window tints, side rubbing strips and sub for £10400 with the 4 years 0% finance

i was rather chuffed, think its a good price?

To be honest, it's not a bad price with the 0% offer. - Just make sure you deffinately want the 8v and not the 16v.

I know some people don't like motorpoint - but we've had 2 cars from them, both without fault.

Just an idea, thats all.

1.4 8v Active Sport= £7,499

1.4 16v Sporting = £8,999

Edit: just noticed you said Dynamic sport, not Active.

arnoldclarck 1.9 m-jet £9995 57 plate apr 8% or less

I've just done a bit more poking around, and the more I think of it, the more I think this "deal" aint good at all.

The actually price of the car you've spec'd is £10,800, giving you a deal of just £400.

I spent less than that on my brand new 1.9 Sporting.

If you can afford the insurance I'd go for a bigger engine personally.

What insurers you with? i asked how much a 1.9 would be for me and they said " well mr osborne..... nothing!........... cos you have to be 21 to be insured in that car "

My insurers will cover me in the 1.9 for £300!!

And i'm 22!!

Swiftcover - the cheapest around!

I'm trying to get a year old 1.9Sporting for £6k....find out tomorrow if I get one!!

Any reason why I shouldnt?

sounded rather good to me, seeing as im also doing a part exchange, any hows, its brand spanking new from factory not a pre reg or off the court

dynamic sport is available in 8V and 16V

im too young to have 16V tis wayyyyy to expencive i mean its still over 1K just for the 8V plus the 16 costs more n i wanna keep the costs as low as possible (obviously)

If you want to keep the costs low, go with a pre reg - You'll get a much better deal. And you can use the money you save to cover any increase in insurance (if you go for a bigger engine).

I'm paying £900, and I'm under 20 :p.

Tom

tis all well and good, but is that under ur own insurance???
or with your mum or dad? i really really want brand new not some already picked pre reg car! just love to spec the car

My car, my insurance, my money.

Get yourself a pass plus, saves a fair bit on insurance (only if you phone).

I got my 1.9 for a load less than your looking at spending, I just told the delearship what I wanted, and they found one already made. Simple lol :p.

I know it's nice having a car made just for you, but then as long as it comes with what you want and 0 on the clock, I see no problem.

How old are you btw, and have you had an accident / conviction? - Obviously you don't have to say, I don't like giving out certain info so meh

Good luck whatever you decide.

It will probs cost about 2K to insure (less with pass plus, I get a 33% discount).

If you were to buy a GP Sporting Pre reg you'd probably save 2K iver what you're looking at spending. Its not a bad deal you've been offered, but I would reccomend that you push for more off the asking price. Do the "well I'll have to see in a few months" routine, they usually pull you back in.

Tom :)
