Be a blown bulb, had to replace one of mine in same position. Need to remove CD head unit and the fascia panel below it, as I did. Or take it to a dealer as it will still be under warranty.

Well blow me!, exactly same thing happened to mine a few days a go.
Booked into Dealers after Xmas for a Saturday morning while you wait job,the joys of warranty, well remembered days of struggling with many scratches etc to show for "a daft little job" such as dashboard bulbs.;)

To be honest that is why I did mine myself, to avoid scratches, etc. at dealer's. You are more likely to take better care doing it youself. Not a high tech. job, so likely be a trainee will be given the task (Only my personal opinion and based upon my experiences). Do understand that it may be a bit daunting doing it yourself. You are also lucky they are doing it while you wait. My dealer would not even allow me to wait to have the golvebox catch replaced (3 frigging screws).

My Dealer have always tried to accomodate me as regards waiting if I choose, even for a service if thats what I have said I am prepared to do.
Service Advisor just asked me to be early, 8:15 ish as they open at 8:30 to make sure I am first in the queue.
Equally so never really had a problem if I have needed a Courtesy Car.:slayer:

You are very lucky. I have not had service like that for years. Problem up here that the big dealers have a bit of a monopoly, so choice is restricted. Used to be a small Fiat garage in Lanark, got first class service. Also a small Citroen dealership locally that gave great service with my Xsara (this car had serious issues from new, however, the local garage always tried their best). Recently took my wife's car in for it's first service, pre-arranged for 8.00AM. Arrived at 7.40 AM, after 42 mile drive, was up at 6.00AM. Proceeded to make myself comfortable for a wait of one hour. 10.00 AM arrived and no sign of the car. Had a look round the back where I had parked it and it was still sitting where I had left it. I made some enquiries which were met with shrugged shoulders at reception desk. By 11.00AM I blew a gasket and the manager was called, 25 minutes later the car was ready (two mechanics were put on the job). This is a typical service experience with AC despite my wife and I between us having bought some 15 motors from his dealerships. I don't blame the mechanics, it seems to be an attitudinal thing with the reception staff. Many of them don't give a stuff about the customer. Anyway, I better stop moaning again, and good for you at having such a good dealer.

Lets hope that Fiat's long promised/rumoured shake up of the Dealerships will positively effect both large and small alike.
People I have spoken to on "the inside", if you get my drift?, have agreed with me that the product is "on the way back", and it will need a positive attitude from other parts of the organisation or it will waste the resurgence generally throughout Fiat.

Blown bulb here aswell as of today.

I don't think GP elctrics like the cold weather:

-blown bulb
-cluster failure
-power steering faulure

All since the temperature dropped below 4 deg.

I had the same problem with the power steering and a bulb recently. Fixed the bulb myself and the power steering corrected itself after switching engine off and back on again.
Did your power steering come back on again?

A Arnold Clark garage won a best service technicians award from Fiat in Scotland/North England.....cant remember which one though:eek:

T, I did not want to have a rant and I do appreciate that there is good service out there. Unfortunately, it has evaded me. I should have also stated that it was AC Hyundai, my wife is now on her second Getz, I have also had a Coupe. The service received from AC Hyundai is crap. We now arrange a service for Monday's and leave the car on Sunday afternoon. We then collect the car late Monday afternoon and it is generally still not ready. So it is quite a journey involved. Me and the wife take her car and my car to Glasgow on Sunday afternoon, leave her car and I drive back home, round trip of 84 miles. Do the same again on Monday afternoon, and end up going for a coffee cos the car is not ready. Really is a frigging joke.
T, I am not having a go at the guys who do the work, it is the system that AC has. He has created a monster, cheap cars, but crap aftersales service. As he has an almost monopoly situation in Scotland, he has little incentive to change. The technicians I am sure do a good job, just a shame the customer has to endure such an ordeal before the tech. gets his hands on it.

You been drinking again:devil:

Thing is Arnold (arnie?) was a salesman, has little interest in service side despite fact service departments run 48+ hours a week continually making money.
Spot on T, lager alert, lager alert. Please ignore any further posts this evening.
Seriously though, I think you have mentioned before that Ayr branch is worth a visit. When I sober up sometime early next year, I'll give them a go. Used to live in Ayr.
