Personally speaking, I'd only buy wheels (any mods in fact) that are made by a well known Motorsport company, following advice I received, e,g Speedline, Minilite, etc. Some of the other makes can be lacking in quality.

Some are i agree but these well known makes will more than likely cost more than unknown makes and some of the unknown makes will be of the same quality. so if you shop around you may be pleasantly suprised....:)

Very possible, but you pays your money and takes a chance. The reason they are expensive is because they are tested in competition. The cheaper makes may look good, but I wouldn't touch them. From what I was told, it's not worth it.

mine work out at around £80 per wheel which i know is cheap but i think they look good and so far i've not had any problems with them apart from one of them bent when i went into a very large pothole and it was replaced free of charge. plus if you get unknown makes you are more likely to have a more one off looking car... but in some respects i see where you are coming from!:slayer:

every wheel has to have a quality check to a legal standard before leaving the factory regardless of make/model

:bang: :bang: :bang: no no no, when are people going to realise that bodykits are so max power 5 years ago. The tunning world is not like this anymore, the style at the moment is euro. You should have used the money for the bodykit on having a few bits smoothed off, lowered on coilovers and some nice wheels that suit the car. just my opinion mate, but as long as you like it.

hey dudes well heres my gp for you guys to have a look over, feel free to comment :)

Hmmmmm, i can see why you like it and i dare say a lot of people who are still into this kind of modding will agree with you. However it aint for me. The GP has nice lines and a great shape and doesnt need this done to it.

As for needing bigger wheels. with it being a 1.2 bigger wheels are out of the question as many people will say with the amount of strain it puts on the car, and as for getting some coilovers for it i agree. you said you couldnt lower it because then you cant get ojn the ferry over to the mainland, with coilovers you would be able to lower it when you are at either end.

Anyway....as stated, as long as your happy with the way your car looks thats all that matters and i will look forward to seeing what you do next (y)

No, don't like it, to be honest I think you've ruined it. If you had made it look like the S2000 Punto Rally version maybe, but doesn't look right.

A few reasons TBH
I was nearly rear ended backing into our drive (on a busy main road) on at least 3 occasions in my old car been the main reason sat there with hazards on foot on the brake car in reverse waiting for a gap in the traffic and all you hear is a screech of rubber  as some dozy driver has failed to see me And backing down the drive in the dark (who else thinks the reversing lamp is poor?)

also when i go trail building on FC land (MTB Club) i use them to scare the red socked ramblers out of the way :D

And if I'm forced to park on the verge outside work (long sweeping bend) whilst i wait for HGV's to get into/out of the yard..
( i don't fancy the back of my GP reshaping)

And finally just from the point of safety if i breakdown

as you can see they really are very small and unobtrusive and been led can be left on for hours and not kill the battery
