Hello all!! Just joined the forum and wondered if anyone else has had this problem? I have a Grande Punto Dynamique 1.4 Duologic and think it is a great car. However when I use the washers they spray far too low and it is hard to clean the top of the screen. They jets don't seem to be adjustable and I recently asked my dealer who said I was basically stuck with it as it is. Anyone else had this problem and is there any way of fixing it? Many thanks!!

ye i have the same problem but only with 1 get it sprays the wipper insted of the screen but 2 be honist i havent been bothered to try and fix it lol

Common thing, my dealer made mine better but not perfect but they now wash the whole screen. Plenty posts on here about it. :)

I have had to adjust my washers on one side of the windscreen. All I did was insert the tip of a pocket knife into the jet and levered it slightly up. Be careful though, they seem easy to break.

Wipers and jets

Ok so i know the washer jet bug has been mentioned many times before. I have that problem along with another..........

In medium to heavy rain and traveling over 50mph i get a big pool of water that forms on the windsrceen that sits under the main wiper. Each time the wiper comes up it creeps up the screen and is then pushed back down and up and down and up and down (u get the picture) I can see that its a bit of a design fault as the water is running up off the bonet onto the screen. The pool only goes away after slowing down. Its so so annoying and distracting and i have never seen it on any other car.

It seems to be caused by the shape/lenght of the wiper and the fact the water comes up off the bonet. The water from the jets also sit under the wiper in the same place after it fails to hit the screen when going any speed other than stationary.

So my question is, does any one else have this problem and are there any solutions, as well as how do you adjust the jets, and a quick side question being can you adjust the intermitent wiper frequency speed?

Re: Wipers and jets

try RAIN X THAT SHOULD LESSEN YOUR PROBLEM AND THE USE OF THE WIPERS:)

MMmmm......you got a G. Punto? because if you have You CANNOT have done this.....they don't move, they are one moulded plastic piece......hence the 'cable tie's' underneath which isn't 'bodge' because you can't see them.

well i tried to lift up the plastic trim to put some plastic under it, the trim came right off with hardly any affort lol. There is already rubber stoppers under them and i could see no way a cable tie could have any effect or even be put under there. For info, mine cover the whole window fine when standing still, but on the motorway the water just hits the wipers!

Also there is no way to adjust them with a knife or screw driver or anything, they cant be moved!

i dont think its fine at all, if there is light spray and your goin 80 you dont want them as fast as they go. You could adjust the speed in the ol punto, why make it worse in the new one. i just have to manually flick them on all the time

Smear/film on right hand side of window

Got a new GFiat Punto sporting last Friday and all was well, but in the rain the past few days when I use the wipers right where I need to see out when the right hand wiper goes back down it leaves a smear/veil/film and it is really difficult to see at night in the rain with oncoing headlights? I tried wiping the blade with vinegar,,,no good. Then washing liquid, any ideas?
