Its arrived and its on my drive, my very own GPS and this time it IS a 1.9!! Trust me a did lots of check this time lol.

It does have rear discs
It does have 5 seat belts
It does have red badges
It does have a locking cap
No rain sensors
No Ashtray.

All in all im a very happy man!! The difference over the 1.3 is amazing, so quick!

After all the hastle i got motorpoint down to £1000 extra for the brand new one so it was £10,000 all in for the 57 plate with 15miles and me as the first registerd keeper. They also put guardX on it (paint protection and interior fabric conditioner)which would have cost £300 and 6 months tax (£77) and a full tank of diesel.

I will get some pics up at the weekend as its dark when i finish work all week.

Oh yeah some quick questions.....
Should i have a card with a key code incase i lose my key?
Should i have something about the AA cover or a form to apply for it?
When is the first service due and i understand the warranty is only 2 years by fiat, then by someone else. How do i get the 3rd year sorted

do motorpoint give you the 3rd year like authentic fiat dealers do...?

How did you get Motorpoint down to only a £1000 extra at the last minute...?
I suggest you call Fiat customer service sometime and find out from them that this UK supplied car (not an import), was supplied by Motorpoint but was actually sourced from Fiat Supasaver or whoever......so can you take it to any Fiat dealership who will carry out the 3rd year warranty work and talk to Motorpoint.....

The PDI says fiat cars pewisham as motorpoint just bought it from fiat in my name, so the 3rd year will be coverd by fiat then? I can just take it down to my local dealer??

Has anyone got the fiat AA number to call to sort out that membership or do u just call the AA when you break down and they will know?

3rd yr warranty is uk specific , applicable to Fiat Dealer,administered by Car Care Plan (insurance based), Pewsham may have carried out PDI for Motorpoint as they are not Dealers cannot do, so may be an import, in which case wil not have third year warranty,unless Motorpoint administer their own, in which case nothing to do with fiat.AA number is in service book/manual just give reg number. Ask dealer (or pm me)to check their system to confirm date of reg and if its an import, giving them chassis number.(Easy for them to check).Also if it is a UK vehicle you will need to transfer owner name with Car Care,(Motorpoint should do) otherwise not applicable(around £27 i think)

you don't get anything to prove AA cover, but you are covered (I called them to check mine..)

and you should have two keys... one electronic one, and one 'normal' key....

seems my dealer was wrong about rain sensors becomming standard, I got an ash tray though.....

Thanks for the comments. Motorpoint have nothing to do with it really, they effectivly are not my dealer, fiat in pewisham are. They bought the car from them in my name and it is not an import. Its all very complicated but its just because they couldnt get a second hand one for me so they just bought it direct from fiat, and because the only car i had to drive was the motorpoint loan car, they had to get it for me otherwise i would have got it myslef.

I will check with my dealer to confirm though. So if it was purchased from a uk fiat dealer in my name then it should have the third year right?? Just like i went there and bought it myself!?!

Th V5 came through the post today, has the date of first registration in it as the date the dealer registerd it in my name, also i am down as first owner so thats all good, not marked as import either

Motorpoint can do PDI checks, they did one on top of the one fiat did, and charged me for it!! Bastards!

I will call the AA tomorrow, to check im all sorted with that!

yeh know what you mean, i just want people to know im not driving just a punto. I always say, whats the point of spending extra on a label if you dont show people what the label is, and thats with clothes, i want people to know my car is not boggo. But im still not sure about the look of it, might take it off. Also it might stop punks in corsas and saxos from trying to race me all the time.
