BUT I stick to my opinion that salesmen in general have a sub-standard knowledge of their range.

Fair enough. I have lost count the number of experienced salesmen have asked me questions about the range that seem simple. BHP figures on and co2 emissions and what not on the 78 models that fiat does not including commercial.

on average most car salesman are not enthusiasts like ourselves i have been one for more years than i can remember :( even had a go at being a car salesman long ago didn't like it(n) italiaspeed.com are one of the more reliable sites they don't guess like most do for example autocar.its all mostly fact based about Italian cars.they where bang on the money about the abarth so dont think they will be wrong with a face lift model.2 to 2 and a half years most cars get a fresh look the grande punto is not exempt from that nothing stays the same in this world the car world is proof of that:)

go to the website on the top border it says future models, click on that it will show you all Italian cars.launch times and months so forth.it gives you all the forth coming models of fiat in 2008.its not specific but gets updated periodically.i dont know what your stressing on for the price you paid for your t-jet is absolute bargain.(y) i paid£12,000 18months ago for my gp m-jet  with no options none where available for at least 4 to 5 months.i had no chance of a discount.the sales people attitude was if you don't buy it someone that walks in a hour later after you will.which is more than likely coz they where rarer than hens teeth at that time:bang:

wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwait wait wait
i just looked at that website and it says under 2008.......
"Centro Stile Fiat. The Punto (not the Grande Punto) gets a facelift to keep it fresh in its respective markets. "

I would think they mean Grande Punto even if they don't say it. I belive the Punto is out of production every where now.

We haven't heard anything about a face lift for the grande yet but then thats not surprising really.

We are too busy getting drips of info regarding the 500 just now.

Hi Jassyo...You might be confusing me with someone else on the forum. I went for the MJet over the TJet after the test drives...I don't think I've told anyone how much I paid for mine:). As with the face lift issue I still don't think it's a 'definite' from the Italiaspeed info....I'm just gonna enjoy my GP when it arrives next month and not stress about an update.

sorry if i confused ya with someone else there are a few with G P S in their forum name::eek:

so facelift will basically be (according to that website):
blacklights/foglights and clear indicators like arbarth
move side repeartor to mirror (Nice)
relocate badge
new exhaust
new spoiler
chrome grill
slight body changes

So looks like you can buy most of those changes, i would certainly want to get the mirrors with side repeators! I prefer the chrome lights to the black ones though

spot on it is the Brazilian version.why its different over there is a mystery:confused: but no doubt they will give them the silver headlamps when they facelift it over there:rolleyes:
