Anybody with a remapped 1.9, have you tested your 0-60 time since you have had it remapped? Just curious to see what it is now?

hiya mate. if you put the figures into the letstorquebhp calculator it comes out as around 7.6 seconds iirc when you have it remapped to 170bhp. :) HTH... no idea if this is correct though, it's only supposed to be a rough guide. :)

Very rough as it doesn't take gearing or width of power bands or pretty much any of the factors that affect 0 - 60 times other than bhp and kerb weight.

Edit: it also takes drive train into account but only as far as 4, rear and front wheel drive.

If you've had your car re-mapped to 170bhp it should blow past almost everything on the road in 2nd-4th gear. The standing start will always be a horrible "brick wall in front of you" but once you hit 2000+rpm the turbo will come on strong..... You will also see nearly 48mpg (depending on who supplied the re-map) .

You can't really give 0-60 on a diesel as a fair representation of it's overall performance, but like mike said, 2nd to 4th you beat alot of cars it's brilliant for safe overtaking. or overtaking whatever you want

mental note - stop agreeing with mike

i doubt that very much indeed more like 8 sec 0-60.the golf 170 bhp sport only managed the 0-60 in 8.2 sec i know the golf is heavier but its faster than a remapped gp.as said zero - 60 is just a figure that motoring programmes love to tell you MAKES SOUND MOST IMPRESSIVE as stated in real world terms it dont matter that much.also the gp is too light at the front to really keep the power down on the wheels to acheive 7 secs.:(

Too light at the front?! It has a heavy diesel lump in it, surely it should have more traction than a petrol equivalent with this extra weight.

What about cars like the Citroen Saxo that weigh 300kg less and manage sub 7 second 0-60's no problem at all, with a few mods.

The saxos have good power to weight ratios.

135bhp per tonne iirc.

Yeah and crap safety ratings .

And the fact that the GP Sporting is hard to get a good 0-60 time is all to do with the gearing not traction. Its geared to provide brilliant all around drivability and not for 0-60 sprints :p.

Agreed, I know what I'd rather be driving if the worst happened. iirc saxos are made from rivita breads.

The GPS is not made for 0-60 sprints agreed, mid range is where it really shines, tbh when do any of you have 0-60 races on the road? hardly ever, if at all.

Yeah exactly (y). Last time I did 0-60 was a few months back at the lights against a Saxo VTR / VTS can't remember which one. I got in front though by a healthy gap not bad for a 1.4 16v mk2b Sporting :). He didn't look too happy must have thought I had a 1.2 lol :D.

Was probably a vtr ;) Saxo drivers seem to think they rule/run/own the road, I'll bet he wasn't pleased (y)

Vts's can't get past me I love it. I blow their burberry caps right off, and make them look like idiots in front of their car tart 14 year old girlfirends.

Agreed...My point was that the weight of the front won't be an issue...I certainly wasn't promoting the Paxo as being a good motor, just used it's lightweight build as an example!!!

BTW my GPS has arrived at the dealer's...should be picking it up on Wednesday, can't wait!!

Question to Puntokris, who remapped your motor mate? Impressive figures!!!!!
