Styling Tinted Rear Windows

Thats why im still thinking about getting my fronts done slightly, just to even it all out. Need to get a quote for it.

Yours both look great by the way, nice jobs.

Also thought i would mention i have managed to get rid of most of the little white dots i had by using some very fine cutting paste.

Dare I say it due to the controversy this causes everytime its mentioned.....I think im going to do mine myself...with a little help from a couple friends. Got a job in Halfords last week, working in the ripspeed department and couple of the guys have done tints themselves and they look fine. So going to ask them tomorrow when I'm in if they fancy giving my a hand one week.

Before the slating of doing it yourself begins.........RIPSPEED, NOOOOOOOO!

Quite possibly the worst car brand ever, lol. At the end of the day though joking aside a jobs a job and its to do with cars so if it makes you happy thats all that matters.

Now then......DONT DO IT YOURSELF! :D

The thing with the film is it doesnt age very well, if these guys have had theirs done for years then go for it, only one way to find out i suppose.

quite frankly it doesn't make me happy lol, working on racing cars makes me happy which is what I'm qualified to do, but sadly races dont occur every day of the week!

And that was my only concern, the aging of it.

Lol, like you say though races dont happen everyday so you need something that will give you some cash. It could be worse.

Yeah thats the only thing i would worry about. Tbh unless you are quite sloppy or not bothered about your work you can make the films look pretty good when they have just been applied, its just whether it stays there.

should try diy... its easier than you think, the boot ones hard and impossible, but the the rear side ones should be ok to do....

cost me £4.99 :)

i think someone on here with a gp did his rear sides him self to a excellent finish.

that was me lol, yeah i did the rears myself they turned out good in my opinion, cost ten pounds for the tint film and had loads left over but attempted the rear window and yes it is impossible!!

Its booked in for the back windows to be done professionally for the price of £115. the man said that there is no way he would ever do it that price for anybody else, but he would like to use my car in some pictures. the Normal price is £150, and he probably wouldnt go much lower. he had a Ford Focus ST in there which he'd just done the tints on and quite frankly it is quality work.

Took a few snaps of the Captain's tints when I was over there the other day getting my new front speakers in :D

You can see that the 30% tint looks quite subtle from the inside out but very effective from the outside in.

After I've seen how good the tints look I'm thinking about having it done myself (y)

if i was goin to tint my gps i'd have to do all the windows, don't like just the rears.

they look good had anyone had a New Orleans Blue tinted?

i would like my tail gate and 2 rear windows done to hide my mountain bike/ camping gear when i pop into a cafe or shop just wondered what a NOB would look like with black tints? (should trade it in for the GP van  )

the rears can be done to limo but no tint is really allowed on the front, i have my front ones done as you see loads of cars like it.

yes that is 70% light though and 30% darkness. people tend to get confused.

i have had all the windows done in my car, just 60% at the front i think, but the guy who had the franchise told me all fiat cars normal tint is darker than most other makes:confused:
