Yesterday I changed the external badges on my GP for the new logo badges and they look great :D but the one that stares me in the face every time I get in the car is still the old one!

I've had a search and haven't been able to find a definitive answer as to whether the badge on the steering wheel can be changed or not.

Does anyone know if this can be done? Maybe I'll have to wait until Fiat re-badge the GP and buy a replacement centre for the steering wheel which has the new badge on :p

Yeah cheers Rich. I'd like a genuine logo on the steering wheel so I guess I'll have to wait til I can get hold of a genuine replacement. Guess I could be waiting a while though... :p

I thought as much. Tbh you could be waiting a very long time because from what i heard the GP will never be released with the new badges, ever. This obviously then means that there will never be one to fit. Unless they make it an accessory of course.

I think I've got a solution....... but it won't be cheap!

The new Bravo has the same steering wheel (and airbag) as the Grande, but with the newer badge-

That certainly does look the same size, etc. The only 2 problems you may have is firstly whether the materials are the same (the finish, etc) and secondly whether they will or can fit that to the GP.

Rich

I wonder if you'll be able to buy the Bravo front cover for the steering wheel as a part?

You must be able to as they may have to replace them under warranty. In theory if they can get them you can buy them. As i said before though i dont know if it will definately work and whether they will actually swap it.

Thats a shame. I did have my suspicions about the materials being different.

Just ordered a GP sporting, due early October. Does anyone know if this will have the new red badges on?

It is highly unlikely, i would nearly go as far as saying definately not but who knows with Fiat. As far as im aware, someone correct me if im wrong, the new badges started with the Bravo and will continue with the 500. They are not going onto existing models even though you can buy them as accessories.

They're on the GPs in the ad (I know they don't make to green colour), so I'd imagine they will start producing them on the new cars.

You say that but the badges were around before the 07 cars were built and they still didnt feature the badges. Someone from Fiat has also told me that they have no plans to put them on at all but like i said this could change with enough demand i suppose.

My car was new and registered in June and it didn't have the badges. I find it unlikely that 57s for example, will have them. Hope not anyway!

Nah there not gonna get em!

As for the steering wheel you have no chance after market from Fiat. Poses a health and safety risk if envolved in an accident:eek:

However im sure some random company will start to make the overlay ones much like the ones on ebay at the mo!

i want the red badges. lol, my dealer said that mine will more than likely have the red badges as i won't get mine until the end of october so it will be built when the factory re-opens. maybe they will start with the new red badges, i hope so. if not i'll just have to gte the accessory kit.

The badge kit is simple to fit and they look great and the only drawback - which the title of this thread refers to - is you're currently stuck with the blue badge on the steering wheel.
