Hi all,
I just wondering if anybody can tell me how I can remove the factory
CD Only radio from my 1.2 Dynamic GP.

Im thinking you take the faschia off but it seems very tough.
Or do I have to unscrew it from somewhere?
Just got an offical iPOD connection kit, so want to hook it up to the AUX.

What are they then, can I substtuite them for butter knives

radio pins,cost about a pound. Could use 4 bits of welding wire/coathanger etc....NOT butter knives!

Ok if I was to use a Coat hanger where to I put it In?
Sorry Guys I am new to this stuff.
Otherwise can I get the pins from halfords?

theres 4 small holes,2 either side on the front of the unit.

ive always used coathangers in the past. with the coathangers in the holes you might also need the butter knives to persuade it out.

Come on guys! You spend thousends on car + audio/extras etc but wont spend £1 on radio pins from factors/halfords/sunday market & risk scratching radio or surround :shakehead

well i was talking from experience with my old saxo actually. lol

saxos/peugeot radio removal best done with hammer

just make em from a coathanger.

cut the coat hanger until you get straight bits about 25cm long

bend in a U shape, and put them into the holes, tip: open the glove box and reach behind, you can kinda pudh the headunit out when the tabs release

when i took mine out i used the pins, just put them into the four holes very far in and pull them out and the headunit will come with them!
