General Getting My New Car on Monday YAY

I am getting my new GP 1.4 Sporting in New Orleans Blue on Monday, can't wait. I asked the dealer about the new badges and he said that they will not appear on other cars other than the new Bravo and then the 500 till later in the year.

So looks like I will be getting the old Blue badges. I am gonna paint the Brake Calipers red I think, didn't think that was a good colour to go with the blue but having seen some pics of the blue with e red calipers I think it looks pretty good.

Just hope it goes with no problems and that everything works as it should.

I am getting mine from Bickets in Kilmarnock, It better be open or there will be a brick through their window lol,

Though I don't think places like that shut for the fair it tends to be industries that shut for the fortnight though I think less and less places are doing it now.

I'm getting mine at Arnold Clark's in Edinburgh. Those East coasters don't get Monday off

Think I'll put red badges and paint the calipers red on mine. We gonna be having a race to put photos on here?

Well despite my accident on Friday I now have my Nice New GP Sporting and have to say I am well happy. Its been a stressful weekend not knowing what would happen but the Garage have taken the car and have arranged with the Insurance to have it repaired and they will pay them for it.

Car drives well, quite impressed. Comfortable to drive. Have played with then Blue and Me, I've also updated it and the TXT message reader seems to work fine. Its something else, something to show off with lol.

Anyway thanks for all your support and I'll put up some pics once I have done what I am gonna do to it.

Got mine too, it's now done 42 miles... oooooh!

When I uploaded my phonebook it seems to have put the letter 's' before each entry... maybe my phone ain't compatible - it's a Samsung D800.

Not tried a USB stick for MP3s yet cos the missus has it in her handbag . Plays MP3 CDs well but was a wee bit annoyed the titles appear in the centre console but not on the screen next to the speedo, etc.

I've been well impressed with the Blue and Me feature. Once I go the hang of it, it really is good. Great not having to fumble around with the phone to dial a number. I have tried a USB Pen Drive with WMAs and it plays them without a problem.

Changed over the Front Indicator Bulbs to Silver ones but I have discovered that the rear lights have clear bulbs which are in a orange holder so won't get the effect of using a silver bulb and I can't see any way of changing that. Oh well perhaps when I can find a set of Lexus style rear lights I will be able to do it then.

Going to paint the calipers red and remove the Punto rear badge as well, Get new speakers and perhaps, just perhaps, paint the front bumper between the 2 grills black, Abarth Style. Not sure about this yet but am considering it. At some point I will also get the windows tinted as well and may even get it remapped.

are you serious? :yuck: that is a shocking idea!!!! why ruin the car by putting a chavvy item (imo) like that on it?! maybe if it was silver then it could look ok, but not New Orleans Blue!!! :yuck: :yuck: :yuck:

you will also find that the rear indicators are straight (opposite) pin and not offset like the fronts are. i had a pair knocking around so i swapped them over anyway. you could always break the orange cover, it's only glue in.

Point taken though I don't see how to break off the orange off and get it out of the lens housing as it seemed to be one sealed unit.
