Hello all!

Went to visit Arnold Clark Fiat in Edinburgh (Gogar Road, I think). And was given a red GP 1.4 Sporting to test drive. What a difference to my Fiesta Zetec.

Anyway, we sat down to talk numbers...

They have no 1.9s in, but have four 1.4s - two New Orleans Blue, 1 Exotica Red and one Chemical Grey (my preference).

Wiith a trade-in of my 54 reg Fiesta Zetec 1.4, It'd cost me £5500 for the GP Sporting 1.4 (07 reg).

If I take finance, over 3 years, it'd be £210 (with the 2 year servicing thing included) and that includes the remaining £1000 finance I've to pay off on the Fiesta. So overall, the finance is for £6500. The rate was 4.25% interest with the finance.

What you guys think?

I did fancy the 1.9 but I dunno if I could stretch to it financially.

I think I want the GP Sporting :D :slayer:

the 1.4's a good choice. i'm bound to say that owning one, but honestly it is. its got some nice touches that make it better (in my opinion) than the base models. like the seats and leather trim bits as well as the better petrol engine. i've had no regrets getting one. (y)

Cheers for the opinion, much appreciated. I think I'll be phonig in the morning to tell the guy to keep that Grey one for me!

Go for the sporting mate, you won't regret it. Loving mine at the moment, it is the 1.9 though. Chemical grey is the best colour, thats my biased opinion though. Thats a pretty good interest rate aswell.

Ring the dealer in the morning (y)

do you think I could haggle and get the offical Punto mats thrown in? They're usually about £45...
