Hi All
I have also got several niggles with my 56 GP 1.4 Dynamic, the window, glove box, road noise etc - will get them sorted when I get round to it.
Yesterday I had a traumatic drive through Leeds City Centre, not because of the traffic, or because I got lost (they were expected traumas), but because after the second set of traffic lights on the way in, the car started to make a noise when going from 2nd to 1st gear and vice versa. It has been a little sticky going into first for a while, but I cant decide if the noise it's making is a squeak, or a grinding/ gear crunch noise! It isn't very loud, but is annoying.
Other than the noise and the stickiness going into 1st gear, nothing feels different. All other gear changes are as they should be. I moved the leather around the gear stick when I finally got parked, but the problem was still there four hours later when I set off to go home.
I went through quite a drastic flooded road on Tuesday, and on Tuesday night the car alarm decided to go off every 15 mins, this has sorted itself out now and I assumed this was down to water getting where it shouldn't. Might be coincidence?
I thought I would ask if anyone had any suggestions about the squeak/grind issue? I am off on holiday on Tuesday morning and am worried the car might break on the 40 mile drive to the airport?
I will try and get it into the dealer before then, but this depends on if they can slot it in.
Please help
regards
wendy
