it doesn't as the engine of the 1.4 is quite a bit more expensive when i got a few quotes, and at 17 like jamie is then insurance will be high enough on the 1.2 anyways.

maybe maybe. what groups are they though? 2 and 3? i just know some insurers penalise heavily for mods, especially performance ones because it shows obvious intent on making a car faster, most likely for faster driving.

im only talking from my experience really. my first car was a saxo furio, which is a 1.4, with alloys stuck on the cheapest quote was about £850, if i had a standard VTR (1.6) then there were quotes at about £750. mainly because the people who quoted cheap wern't interested in quoting a saxo with aftermarket alloys.

Hi there,
A GSR induction system. I'm quite interested as I only live ten minutes drive away from Watford and own a GP 1200 Active, for 3 weeks so far.
Was it expensive?

Some RRs are sometimes slightly ... optimistic.

The car was unusual quick in picking up on the RR. Although we were surprised about the result for a 1.2, we were not surprised that the result were as high the way it picked up.

Might be that accidentally the 1.4 engine was fitted or the 1.2 head was fitted on a 1.4 (small difference externally).

Looks good mate. I would definately get it on another RR though, it just doesnt seem right. At least then you cant argue with 2 results the same from 2 different companies.

Age is the main factor i would imagine. I know how high my insurance is on my 1.9 and im 3 years older than Jamie. I dread to think what it would have been for him, let alone the extra to buy the car in the first place.

where? i din't know.

and i think the car should be tested again at a different place to see the difference because fiat couldn't have been so wrong surely, but i suppose they do it in different conditions and take an average.

here is my induction kit:

edit: ok rubbish sound quality from photobucket so going to host it somewhere else!!!

and yes it is on a national speed limit road so wasn't speeding or anything!!

Ive thought about getting a kit for mine in order to try and get rid of that typical diesel sound but i dont know anyone who has one on a 1.9 so i dont know how much difference it will make.
