.. its better to fill up first thing in the morning (petrol is measured by Volume) and over night it cools down hence its volume decreases in the lines and tanks so you get more :slayer:
Is that why I can reach home with half a tank and by morning it's showing nearer to 1/4 full?

And my Dad always told me it was the fuel pixies sucking out the fuel

hmmm that is interesting i might check that one out! i usually put it in late at night so will be changing that as well lol!!!

Well an update on the milage flashing thing on mine.. .

Its back in and theyve had it plugged in, while onto FIAT tech italy at the same time and have concluded the control unit to the cluster is buggered so it looks like the instrument cluster is going to be replaced! Finally

was it happening all the time?
mine used to do it every so often when it was between 500 -4000 miles but i not seen it since and i have done 14K now

i have the same thing, been back 6 or 7 times now for that and "Tape Deck A" flashing?????????

Still no joy, and still waiting on something to resolve it.(n)

Band aid solution would be either change it to radio then back to CD, or take out CD then put it back in.

Read the first post on this thread lol

Had this start on my car a while back, went in had the usual proxy allignment and software updates.. . Didnt solve it

Went back and they plugged it in while it was flashing, as it stops if you turn the car off and restart it. Came up with an error in the starting circuit saying the battery voltage was dropping below optimum on start up. It stayed at the garage while i was away and they plugged it back in again and it come up with no fault, but the dealer did say theyre lead on the diagnostic machine was fooked  They reset it and it didnt flash for 3 days and yesterday morning it started doing it again, only ever when you start it up from stone cold.. .

Anyone else had the same thing? Where its been harder to resolve?
Any of the Tech guys shed anymore light? T?

Cheers
Bob

Picked my new 1.9 Sporting up this morning, they wouldn't let me have it untill they found the radio code for it. I had to set the time on it as the time was wrong.

Anyway, it was untill tonight that I noticed the milage was flashing!

I can't be bothered to take it back tomorrow, but reading over this thread and using the "Search" button (handy thing) it seems it's a lot of hassel.

They did say it'd had a service recently, so perhaps they update the software?

It needs Proxy aligning shouldn't take too long...
