Technical Reverse lights?

Technical Reverse lights?

Ok back on topic - I'm starting to think this is a fairly serious safety issue, cos tonight I was reversing and the white light wasn't on at all. I hope the tech who'll work on my car next week can fault it - otherwise I'll have to waste time to show them.

Is it reasonable to reject the car unless they can fix it?

Assuming similar laws apply in Oz you have got no chance of a rejection mate. Your car is too old now and its far too minor a defect, besides that you have to give the dealer a chance to make good the defect. They are legaly obliged to repair it under the terms of the warranty.....whatever it is it will be a simple fix.

I probably didn't express it too well (I know its too late to get the whole car replaced for a new one) - what I meant was, if they can't fault it and/or fix it, what options do I have - do I just have to accept it or can I demand it to be fixed before taking it back?

Was chatting with someone the other day and he was saying his reverse light won't go on at all because the thing the controls it is broken - I suspect I might have a similar problem.

Can anyone tell me what that thing is called so I can mention it to the dealer?

*Bump*

Anyone?
