Right then, try and stick with my story because it is going to sound a little far fetched. I wouldnt believe it if i was reading it, lol.

I was just on my way back home entering a dual carriageway in the right hand lane, a car to my left, and from nowhere a brand new Audi TT was right behind me. Being young and having not given the car much of a test since it was re-mapped i thought i would boot it and see what the TT did next.

Partly a mistake because he was obviously up for it and there was obviously no chance of shaking it. As soon as i passed the car on the left i kept going but pulled across and as i was expecting the TT to go flying past, it never happened. He didnt seem to be able to give it enough to overtake me, when we got to the end he had no choice but to pull in behind me. Thought this was very interesting.

Having had a quick browse on parkers, if it was the basic job which i think it was it has around 60lb-ft less torque than my GP and weighs 90kg more, not as surprising as i originally thought.

Just to add i am by no means implying that a re-mapped 1.9 is faster than an Audi TT or anything like that i just thought some people may find it interesting reading.

Anyone with similar stories, any giant killers, lol. :D

keep them within the law guys(y)

Of course, nothing naughty :p .

Untuned low spec TTs aren't as fast as many expect.
But still they ain't exactly slow! (y)

Yeah i knew this of the old TT but i thought all the new ones had something special about them. As you say its still no slouch so im really impressed with how it did. Also covered his spanking new car in soot, lol.
