Technical k&n induction kit finally on

i have fitted my piper x now and wow!! it sounds good although im not happy with the fitting as it goes over the manifold down the drivers side wing. ill get u some picks soon. i like the panda fitting. were did u get ur hose from?? I NEED 1.lol(y)

Hey,

Its the GSR kit, the silicone hose is perfectly smooth internally throughout the entire length to stop bad air turbulence and as mentioned before the hose is custom made by GSR so cannot be bought separately from any dealer other than "oldschool" - Peter on this forum!

The Panda 100HP gains around 2 - 14 BHP through rev range (average of 6.5 BHP) and around 10 - 15 Lb/ft of torque so massive differences and I will say the kit made a REAL HUGE difference to power!

Regards

Adam

I GOT IT FROM A1 MOTORSTORE. BECAUSE THERES NO KIT OUT FOR THE 1.4 16V YET, I HAVE HAD TO USE PARTS FOR DIFFERENT CARS ( CRX/CIVIC ETC). A1 MOTORS WERE VERY HELPFULL. YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM WITH IT, IS GETTING A HOSE TO FIT THE ENGINE. ITS SMALL AT 32MM. I USED A REDUCER FOR A HONDA COOLING SYSTEM MADE BY SCS PERFORMANCE (BLUE PART) WHICH WASN'T CHEAP AT £27, BUT ITS SILICONE ALLOWING IT TO FLEX AND NOT DIS-SHAPE WITH HEAT. I SURPOSE U COULD JUST USE A SEIRES OF 90' BENTS AND RUBBER PIPE. THE SYSTEM COST ME 80 NOTES, NOT INCLUDING THE FILTER.:whogives:

why you shouting?

i might do what you did and get reducers and stuff. screw K&N.

wonder if halfrauds do reducers (only decent shop i can get to)

apart from teh motorists center

halford?? u would do better goin to asda. there a waste of time and don't know what there onabout. i first thought about using a flexi rubber hose but it don't look as good. also the inside ant smooth. the best way of doin it think, is to use universal silicone cooling system hose. u can get them in all shapes and sizes. i spent weeks looking for a air induction with a 32mm hoses. there like rocking horse sh it. the problem is slicone hose isn't cheap. BIG TILL

i was bidding on a new silicone hose on ebay yesterday for £10 for a metre and someone got in at the last second as always!! so still looking for a new one! but i think they are about 20-25 for a metre which i think is needed, nt sure if half a metre would be long enough would it?

probably but get a meter to be safe.

half metre will get u to the radiator. u don't want it there mate. trust me. its not good. didn't think of looking on ebay.

sorry to bring up an old thread...

i brought an induction kit for my panda 100hp today. it came with a section of pipe with holes in it for the Vacuum pipe

Does this "Vacuum pipe" need to go into the induction kit or can i simply cap off the vacumm pipe all together?

pics to come if needed!

its a good idea they are not vac pipes they are breather pipes one for the rocker box top and the other for the inlet manifold fitting a old school breather is technically an MOT fail now and capping them off will cause you trouble as the engine needs to breath

thanks andy!

all sorted now

Reucers are all over ebay. i got my 70-50mm reducer (brand - Ash) for 7 quid and the 50-45mm one for £6.50

the silicone pipe comes in many diffrent forms with different properties such as min / max temperatures get a good heat shielded one that is smooth on the inside so air can slip on through it! (y)
