I rang my dealer today and was told my GP is at status 45 and would be a couple of weeks, and wondered with in the Fiat Dealership what are the status levels for delivery of a car and what do they mean ?.

Thanks Luvduvs but i was looking for more of a definitive list, just out of curiosity

status 30 means its at the docks
status 40 means its on a transporter
status 50 means its at the dealer
status 60 means its with the customer

all this is what i have gathered from various phone calls and conversations with the salesman that i was dealing with at the dealership.

So 45 obviously means the transporter is on its way to the dealer..?

not sure mate, by looking at what i was told i would have thought so, but as far as i knew the staus levels went up in 10's... obviously not then!

Hopefully my dealer will ring me tomorrow and tell me for sure where the where abouts my car and i will ask him what status 45 means if there is one.

My personal experience with dealers is you have to chase them up for everything. Bear in mind the ratio: you have one dealer but the dealer has many customers, so unless they're good dealers and/or have an efficient organised system I wouldn't bet on dealers following up on things

My local dealer who lied through there teeth told me status 30 and it still took 4 weeks to arrive. 14 weeks in total, then it went back the F**KWITS

yeah i was told mine was status 30 and it took about 3-4 weeks before i actually recived the car. wasn't in no rush for it though, but i would have liked to have been informed a bit more instead of me having to ring them to find out wtf was going off!!!

as said above, you will need to find a good dealer to have them ringing you and informing you!

unbelievable my GP is status 50 and it's at my dealers, he phoned me this morning sat may 12th and said it was here but he cant let me have it till 18/05/07 (Friday) or 21/05/07 (Monday),he has given me my new reg number, i got to ring my insurers, Ive got to sign some papers for the new reg or something when they arrive in the post & send them back.
It's all very exciting. going to pick it up Friday afternoon can't wait.
all only in 8 weeks

I have asked my dealer what the status levels are especialy status 45 all he said was fiat have changed the status levels for some reason or other

I have picked my GP up wil post photos as soon as i get a chance i have been busy driving it and its brill
