it is a f****** pain in the arse
i had it fixed the first time but now that my warranty has expired
i have to fix it myself
i have taken the door pannel off to see what was the prob but not conclusive result
does anybody have a clue at what it might be and how to fix it?(n)

Don't GP's have 3 year warranties so it should still be covered?

"Don't GP's have 3 year warranties so it should still be covered? "

2 years Direct from Fiat and 3rd year Dealer warenty..... (that's what i have anyway)

door cards easy to remove need an Allan key 5mm IIRC its nothing simple its inside a sealed black box (solonide/ locking unit for the central locking iirc)

happened to me yesterday in a car park and had to climb over the passenger side to get out, also the door does not shut properly unless is really slammed! going to ring the dealer first thing tomorrow!!!!!!!!

yeah no sorry just realised about the warranty
will have to get it sorted at some point cheers all:slayer:

..................when you've finished, take it back to garage to get fixed but you could try checking the cable at the inner door handle hasn't slipped out of its retaing seat (its hooked into the handle itself but also should be clipped in a retaining groove.

Door lock problem

I have suffered the door lock problem today! The car is booked in for wendesday to have it fixed. I was just wondering anyone who has had it done how long it took as I am at work at 3 in the afternoon. Do I stay with the car or drop the car off and pick it up later on?

Alex

yeah its usually very quick if they have them in stock
so check with the dealer should be able to wait around for it if the dealer is a gent(y)
