just phoned the local tinting company,

for 5 windows tinting

£225.

how easy is it to do?

fancy doing it but not paying £225 for it :D

i kno i had same problem, so i bought some film for my rear windows, and looks good, just apply lots of hot soapy water and a card to get rid of bubbles!

inside mate, youl need two people and quite a bit of time, and you will mess up the first window but is easy to peel off!

Got a call back from the same company: RPB Tinting in bedford.

since i only wanted the rears doing there gonna give me a "special, one off" price of £150.

which i think is really good, ive seen their work in the flesh and its :yum:

if the xbox finally sells the tints will get done (y) "hint hint" :p

theres a place in romford that does it, proper pro job, for £25 a window i think it is, i dont know how far you are from there though.

strangely im there all the time :p

i have relatives who live about five minutes from the brewery.

my car wont be able to get there until after i pass my test though: june/july

im up there the day before autoitalia though so i might go up there and give a nosy. my uncle wants his golf tinting anyway :p

im wrong lol, its not romford, its wickford, but there only like 10 miles away from each other lol

this is from another forum so if its wrong dont blame me  :p

cheers for the number!

im gonna do a bit of "research" on the net.

while im here with this bland thread i might aswell ask how easy it it to fit a universal backbox to a GP?

going to have a ganders underneath now to check lengths etc.

please dont fit a universal backbox, there normally all so ****e (n) especially rage etc :yuck: they sound ****e too, and there probably quite hard to fit too, buy one made for your car :) and a cat back too, not just backbox

havnt seen one anywhere hence the whole "universal" shizz

if i had the cash i would go custom (y)

think ill give the exhaust a miss until something a bit cheaper comes out or trickles onto ebay :p

sounds pretty good atm anyway :D

I would get professionals to tint it if you're not sure/comfortable with it. If you somehow stuff it up you have no one but yourself to blame. Imagine your lovely GP with tint bubbles all over it.. :yuck:

Speaking of which I should tint mine as well.. :chin:

god knows.....T????? lol

I thought electroplating could only be done if you could add a static charge to the piece you were fitting the stuff to. ie when you buy a filling cabinet, someone doesnt sit there and paint it, they charge it with static and then pass it through a dry booth then heat it up to melt the paint evenly.

I may be wrong.....i dont kow about how they do tinting on cars nowdays, still thought it was the film stuff.

just googled it..............nothing! dont tell me I dreamt all this:rolleyes: Stick this thing on the glass & leave it there for awhile.........................i'm going to lie down for awhile:(

LMAO
