The thing is.....it doesnt always happen T.

They could change it, and two days later it could show again. When i told them about it they never believed me, it wasnt until i actually showed them it that they believed it.

They reset the computer and did some diagnostics but the idiot of a tech turned the car off before he connected their computer, so when the car restarted the message had gone. I did tell him that it would go if he turned the car off, but he knew best.

It may be a 10 minute job, but to me thats half a day off work to take it back yet again. Its is crazy.

Don't know if this is related or not, but I had a feeling the audio system wasn't acting normally. E.g. with a CD playing if I press the CD button it keeps saying AUX.

That's what it is meant to do LuvDuvs!
all mentioned in a previous thread.
I think half of the problems in certain cars is the nut behind the wheel more than anything! or shall we say a "Driver Input Problem!"

Exactly, I can guarantee the dealer would not even try to diagnose it without it happening all the time. Only way I can prove my sanity is taking a photo of the message.

No need to yell.. :( I wasn't aware of it cos I've hardly touched the thing.

If its just a message showing up on the dash, does it merit taking half a day off work to take it to the dealers to sort it out, especially as its hardly a major fault error!?

Why not wait until a few other things are ready to be sorted? Saves a lot of stress and travel. I usually wait for at least three minor faults to develop before i go back to the dealer! :D

Of course not - I've already visited my dealer enough times in the last six months, nor do I plan too unless its a dire urgent issue

I hate monday mornings!(n)

LOL dont we all fella.

It is going back for a few things....it goes back for the same other things time and time again. But they are never sorted.

Ive got some PROPPER DODGY paintwork on my car, the dealership tells me that a man from fiat will come and look at it...hes been saying this for the past 3 months. Oh and my brake squeal, and my trim in the footwell, and my clutch.

So im not really just going for the dash thing, but no doubt thats the only thing they will look at/replace:D ....notice i didnt say fix lol.:D

Does it still do that on yours? Mine did that twice last night - can't remember if it was "Tape Playing A" or "Tape A Playing" but it was sure weird as I don't have a tape deck! Once I eject and put the CD back in, it seems to be fine.

Mine did it today. Interestingly, my gf started the car without waiting a few seconds for the lights to go off - might have something to do with it?
