as a very rough rule of thumb for any vehicle 40% of the retail value after 3 years.
obviously depends on condition, mileage, service history etc but that gives you an idea
How about after 6 months?
you really wanna know?!
probaby 20%, depends how nice the dealer is and what the reason for changing is...
So it depreciates more in 6 months than in 3 years?
First year is the most
As a percentage overall, you probably lose the most the second you drive it out of the dealers.
WOW , that is quick. Man, i bet he felt well stupid
If I was the bike dealer I'd laugh a lot, guy was obviously not up to having a bike like that and would have probably killed himself doing the same thing on a wet road somewhere.
As for depreciation, I read somewhere that the GP is reckoned to have lower depreciation that equivalent motors although I don't know what they can base that on. In the first six months, don't forget that as soon as you drive teh car off the forecourt you've lost the VAT/Car tax straight away, never mind depreciation.
