Hey Guys and Girls..

Finally got round to de-badging the punto about a month ago so thought i best get some pics up of what the crossover black looks like without...

...also after a bit of advice. On the Sporting 1.4 16v should the light in the picture (the one thats arrowed :D ) be lit when you turn the rear fogs on ?

Reason being is when i first got the car i tested all lights etc. and noticed only one rear fog light but obviously took this as being normal as some cars do only come with one rear.

I just though it was a bit weird to have a light there for no apparant reason as i have tried all the knob's dial's buttons etc etc. and none of them seem to light it up.

O well, just curious i guess! (y)

Chris

You are joking aren't ya??
That's the bloody 'Reversing Light'......comes on when you select reverse gear

Ah!!! No i werent joking, i honestly am that thick!! :D

So the GP's only have one fog light at the rear if im correct ??

Chris

No you're not thick :)
Yup, the days are gone when cars had 2 of everything I'm afraid.....
(cost reductions)
1 fog light and 1 reversing light.

yeah by law cars have to have at least an offside fog rear fog light, hence why you see scoobs etc with them added on when they've been imported.

thanks for posting a picture of a black sporting that had been debadged, just need to decide whether or not to do mine now...

That's pretty low for a reversing light, it seems to me that it would be difficult for other drivers to tell when you're reversing especially in the daytime.

I reckon only have 1 light when reversing in the dark is a pain, you can't see anything on the driver's side. How bright is the thing?

Chris ,the red part of the reversing light is just a reflector, you have that on both sides of the car,the reversing light is on the nearside so you would be able to see the kerb etc when reversing.

how do you remove the badges without leaving any marks ?

get a credit card and a screwdriver and get them off that way, it will save you from scratching your paint work. and if your left with a sticky mark round the outside use a wet cloth and rub over it in small circles. thats how i did mine befor and they were fine.

A screwdriver!!!!!

Either a hairdryer or a little hot water over the letters then a bit of cotton or dental floss behind the letters to pull them away and Bob's your uncle!
