Can anybody help.
My phone charger recently fell apart in my cig lighter and blew the fuse.
Fair enough I thought just dig out the hand book and see where the fuse box is.
The book says there are 3 fuse boxes.
1. Under the bonnet
2. Behind the panel on the dash
3. In the boot

So I go for the one behind the panel on the dash by the menu button and light beam adjuster switches. I manage to snap the blinkin prongs that hold the panel (£5.76 from Fiat) and all I can see is a plug which looks like its for updating the ECU.
Anyone needed to change a fuse? and can someone tell me if there is a correct way to remove that panel without snapping the prongs as I gave the new one a gentle tug just to see and it feels like I will do it again! Cheers

OMG!!! i was going to post the same thread two minutes ago as my mate was playing around and put a key in my lighter (t**t) and blew the fuse!!

Hee Hee! thats what makes this forum so great. Thanks for all the info guys. With a sporting model that ciggie lighter is pretty important as the compresser isnt gonna be much use without it lol!

Lighter Question

after being silly enuff to drop a penny into my lighter i'm guessing its the fuse thats blown...only thing i'm wondering is after reading this post

https://www.fiatforum.com/grande-punto-technical/100920-fuse-location-cig-lighter.html
will it be in the same place on all grandes, i have a 1.2 active

and with me being a novice when it comes to this sort of thing are there any precautions i need to take apart from making sure key is not in ignition as it says in book?

help as always appreciated (y)

Compressor? My sporting still isn't due for a few weeks but am I right in guessing your saying that the fix and go kit comes with a air compressor to pump up the tyre?

Fuse for cigar lighter?

Cig lighter has stopped worked, assuming its a fuse that has gone. Handbook doesnt mention cigar lighter fuses, everything else but!.

Anyone know which fuse and and location?

Re: Fuse for cigar lighter?

In the handbook the fuse is listed as " Power for passenger's compartment current outlet"fuse F54 20amp found in the engine compartment.
Page 183 in the handbook.
