I'm sorry but Carlisle - Minehead is 334 miles (assuming no diversions, I have yet to make it straight there and home from a FF weekender ) and six hours (minimum). Ummmm how about no?!
but you dont have to battle the m25 carpark, average speed on a friday 7mph, its only 3 hours for you the speed you drive anyway

Butlin's Once again I'm afraid - again, corny Hi-de-Hi stuff but they do have excellent weekend breaks and do have some top names there once in a while
See above (ie.The York)

i took you how long to work that out :nerner: :nutter:

Re: Forum weekender - time for a change?

Well a vote's a vote so the forum goes to the majority. A six hour drive was enough for me, going no further, whatever the result :)

EDIT - four days driving is a bit excessive, might manage that for a nice foreign holiday but not this.

its better roads than skeggy, so allough it might take you a few minuets more it will be less tireing, its just 20 minuets off the motor way (or 7 minuets the way you drive  )

Re: Forum weekender - time for a change?

i like blackpool..the tackyness makes it fun and the nightlife is really good

Re: Forum weekender - time for a change?

reckon we'd fit right in at blackpool :)

especially with the amount of smut at these things :D

tis a little scary to think of the cost of a b&b for 3 nights though.

but with almost a years notice can always save up. :p

Re: Forum weekender - time for a change?

blackpool would cost the earth to stay for a weekend. Am not keen on going there for a full weekender. I would go for a small meet like we have tried to get to blackpool for two years on the run for a one nighter and it hasnt come off!

beasty thinks he got more chance of loosing virginity at blackpool.

no not really..doesnt matter where we went no one would want it lol

Re: Forum weekender - time for a change?

i'm good for whatever the majority want, living just north of the big smoke, motorway sytem gets me out to most places quite well, the inny outy though takes ages.....london to peterborough took about 1hr, peterborough to skegness...fricking 2 hours 30 mins!!!!! although there were a lot of tankers, tractors and combines on the road, not to mention rovers and volvos towing caravans
