The Quayside, Poole Harbour, Dorset from 6pm to 9pm

Couple of write ups of previous years:
Thanks to Colin Rear (Colin on Cars) http://colinoncars.com/2016/08/26/quay-for-my-car-italian-stallions-poole-harbour-july-2016/
Thanks to Paul Hanmore (IAMC) http://www.italianautomotoclub.co.uk/events_Quay_2013.html

An informal gathering of Italian cars, usually something interesting for Fiat fans.

QUOTE: The event offers free entry onto the quayside for the car owners who fit the theme for that particular evening. With a stunning backdrop of the Quay and Poole Harbour it is the perfect location for owners to show off their vehicles.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION (on car night): Vehicles are requested not to arrive before 6pm as the road is not closed until this time and there is no parking available; also please avoid waiting up the high street as this causes traffic congestion. *Please note that for these events we have no way of knowing prospective attendance in advance as spaces are not reserved. Parking is therefore on a 'first come, first served' basis, the site capacity is 100-120 vehicles, after that on a 'one in one out' system*
Rockley Park Quay for my Car creates a bustling, lively atmosphere that can be enjoyed by owners as they mingle with fellow enthusiasts and spectators who want to catch a glimpse of the line up. All who attend will be spoilt for choice with the Quay’s great selection of continental café bars, traditional pubs and fine dining restaurants.

Hi Varesecrazy,

Thanks for taking the time & trouble to attend. Sorry if you had a wasted journey.
I don't think the event was officially cancelled. It was too wet for us to go in the Alfa (no roof/doors/windscreen etc) so we took our 'civilian' car - we didn't 'not attend' purely & simply because we had pre booked a hotel - Still, we had a nice couple of days in Poole plus a meal out & a few beers.
There were about best part of a dozen cars, mainly Fiats/Abarths, two Alfas & a Maserati so pretty disappointing. Just hope the event (Italian Stallions) isn't cancelled next year due to 'lack of interest'.

no - I didn't go ,

as this hadn't appeared in the "Calendar" on the RHS of FF homepage..

I could easily have gone - finish early on a Friday - in the X1/9.. but was only made aware it was happening about 15 mins before car were beginning to assemble :(

as you say great shame about the weather..

maybe next year.

Charlie
