Cool Remap and rolling road day

How many would be up for a rr and remap day at red dot racing at the end of the month?

Re: Remap and rolling road day

I'm an idiot. What is it and what would I do there?
I assume rolling road would mean I drive nowhere and get some figures for something and remap is tech talk for performance stuff that I don't have yet?

Rolling road;

Gives you, BHP and Torque figures in a curve graph, the max point been your max BHP at that RPM and likewise for torque. like this....

(same car as above Fiat Seicento 1.1 )

Your engine ECU is set by a specific MAP to maximize its power, torque or fuel effieceny (depending on manufacturer or setup)

If you have a petrol or diesel TURBO likelihood is this can be "Remapped" to give more power or torque or better MPG, or in diesels all of these.

Remapping is useless in non turbo petrols.. (unless modified) But the BHP figures are always interesting, especially in modded cars.

thats not strictly true, it depends what you are looking for, if its massive power gains then you wont get them, but that isn't always the reason for a remap.

This rolling road day will be on a high spec roller with built in weather station, so results cant be tricked by putting temp probe on wrong place
