Hello everyone, i am organising a trip to italy, it will be sometime in july (dates have yet to be confirmed). We currently have a fiat 126, four pandas including a 4x4, a tipo, five puntos, two unos, and a seicento sporting travelling. the costs will be about £350 (excluding petrol). we will go over on a ferry from dover to calais, we will be staying at a good hotel in calais (where we can check the cars over ready for the trip through france/switzerland/italy), we then travel down to pagny sur meuse, where we will be staying the night (close to some good pubs), we then travel to switzerland and stay in geneva, and then the following day we go onto Turino, where a hotel on the outskirts await for us, we stay there for two nights. during our stay in turino we go to a local fiat dealer for a service and a rummage through the parts bins (if we allow our pictures to be taken for the local newspapers story who are covering our trip, we can choose any parts out of the clearance bins for FREE), also the servicing will be cheaper for us (full service on a panda 1000 will be £28), i have been told the clearance bins include - a set of new 131 abarth alloys, parts for a 131, 132, 500, 600, and some parts for an original multipla, plus MANY other parts. we can also go a some good scrapyards that i have found (only deal in fiats, lancias, alfas), we might be able to tour the fiat turino factory (final stages of talks with fiat), i have also asked the manager of hte meridien lingotto hotel if we can drive on its roof (like the minis in 'the italian job'), and he is talking to his superiors about this. if anybody is interested in this, please leave a message on this forum.

forgot to add, price includes accommodation on the way back, and return ferry.

alfas, and lancias also welcome (and ferraris/ bugattis/ lamborghinis).

breakfast and dinner in all hotels included (and 3 free bottle of french wine on the ferry on the way back).

The touring to turin trip has been put on hold, due to the fact that three of the hotels want full payment in advance. and because seven people have pulled out of the trip, i cannot confirm to the hotels the amount of rooms required.

Is this worth reviving? Hotels can be booked at last minute - but I thinkwe should camp!:)
